Fancy hair-cut day.
Today I finally got my hair cut somewhere other than our friend Sandra's establishment! Never before have I done this, except for that one time I went to the Supercuts in Sarasota. And since I haven't gotten a trim in six months, and have been feeling so low, and working all the time, and have a birthday next week, I decided to spring for it.
And it was awesome! I almost couldn't get out of bed this morning because I slept terribly last night, but then I got there it wasn't just an expensive hair cut, she washed my hair. No one has washed my hair for me since I was little, it was so great. I almost fell asleep, and if I had fallen asleep I probably would have been drooling everywhere because it felt so wonderful. And then she spent ages cutting my hair, twice as long as it usually takes, and she was actually able to make my crazy self-cut bangs look better. They have been looking bad (to me) for months, but I haven't dared to touch them in case I made it worse (likely). And she was also a good small-talker. And there were a ton of hot ladies working there, too. Short ones, tall ones, ones in heels, ones with short black and green hair, ones with enormous bouffants, a myriad of skin colors and body sizes. So that was awesome.
And now I am going to let my hair grow for another six months and see where that gets me! It's already so long that I can wear it in BRAIDS. I love it. And now my bangs aren't an inch thick, hooray! And maybe later I will go canoeing with Loren; otherwise, I am going to look up some potato soup recipes now and use up my three bags of dumpstered potatoes!
