I just got back from Yellowstone National Park and it was amazinggggggwoah!  I saw my first bear outside of a zoo, my first bison/buffalo (they're the same thing), Old Faithful, the morning glory pool, learned tons about the park and realized that a future job of mine just might lie in working at a big National park.  It sounds so great, working outdoors, helping people learn, being able to study the geology, seeing all the wildlife, working for the general preservation of it all...  I would learn so much and probably be in really great shape.  I'm definitely going to consider it.  Geology, earth science, ecology, all that shit is fascinating, I don't care who you are.  It's awesome.  I'm really looking forward to taking that class in school.  Really, really, a lot.  It makes me want to watch Eyewitness and geek out, like the old times.

I would go back to Yellowstone.  Now I really want to go to Yosemite, more than I did before.  I'd also like to do Grand Tetons, which is really close to Yellowstone.  I am exhausted though, so so so soo much walking and worrying about bears eating our food and ripping us up.  Last night we had a campfire at our campground and sat around and sang and talked and ate and told stories.  It was perfect, with the exception of some stupid arguments and complaints.  Then Travis and Kristen and I went back to our tent to sleep on the really hard, uneven ground in the cold, cold weather.  It was all very enjoyable.  I'm really tired though.

In AmeriCorps I've now been to eleven new states: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.  All free, soo cool.  Thanks AmeriCorps, you've helped me to get closer to what I want to do, in an odd sort of way.  I don't really think that the work helped me figure it out... it was all the traveling and shit, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe, Yellowstone.  It's all so cool.  My plans have kind of altered for next year.  We'll see how they work out later.  Man, oh man!

I still can't wait to be fucking HOME.  God damn, we're all counting down the days.  All of us.
