I agree! I love seeing people's interpretations into his character, how he go started into all of this... I don't know what you'd call it, insanity? But it's interesting to see what people came up with, and why he is the way he is.
Also, ten points for getting the Dane Cook reference XD And a cookie.
I love his attention to detail, just soaking up everything. I imagine he must have been a child prodigy, so if he was in the chess club he would have been the star!
Although I'm not sure if his dad is dead. I think they're divorced. Just speculation of course :)
A child prodigy, yeah, I think, but not in the way that, you know, say Noah Gray-Cabey is. Timepiece restoration isn't as socially accepted or interesting as someone who excels at piano playing or something, so I don't think he ever got much attention for what he did. He was less a prodigy and more a freak, heh.
Yeah, his father's really up for speculation in general. We don't know his name or what he was like or anything - people can come up with any theories they want XD
He could have been a piano player and anything else he put his mind too. But got pressured into watch fixing I'm thinking. Timepiece restoration is not a skill to be sniffed at of course, but he could have done a lot of other things along with it.
Which is sort of tragic because he could have been the worlds best surgeon etc…if only he weren’t a fruit loop! XD
Love. Such an accurate snapshot of what pre-Sylar life must have been like, just the frustration of not knowing how to be anything but the person he was. And the voice...priceless.
This was awesome. I love that it's from Gabriel's POV, you've got the whole pre-sylar characterization down really well. And the fact that you included that he is OCD is interesting, I'm guessing you got that from how neat his room was when Mohinder broke in, I had never thought of that before. But then again, his watch shop was really messy.
Yeah, it was more his apartment that I was thinking of... Especially the plastic-covered chairs and just how everything seemed to have its specific place that it needed to be in. I'd have to look more closely around his clock shop, though, but I think it was more or less the same there - just like the person above me said, very cluttered.
