Well I've been missing from LJ for so long, I don't even know what to blog about.
But for recent thoughts:
I had a birthday, got my DL renewed, and have a slight career change.
For my birthday I went to Disneyland with my family and boyfriend. We all got year passes, so I'll be going as much as possible because I got a premium one. I got so many darling things, including an alice in wonderland themed tea set, a necklace of different fairy dusts, jack skellington home decor [like blankets, magnets, slippers], bouquets of flowers and lovely balloons, gift cards, lottery tickets, and a new bass strap!!
After my actual birthday my whole family met me at Cheesecake Factory for dinner, where my brother and soon-to-be sister in law got me my first own bottle of liquor. It was adult chocolate milk, lol, it's a pretty bottle really. I got a bunch of other lovely things, including a new pj outfit for hello kitty [at build-a-bear] and a huge yummy dinner and dessert >.<
A couple days later, I finally got to see my band. I hate being away from them for too long and not even a week feels too long to me. I was super excited to meet up and be able to jam again since I'd been playing by myself and studying other classes with music always in the back of my head instead of front and center. But I walked into Muika's house and was surprised to see Satto carrying a cake and singing to me! They made this wonderful, delicious cake decorated like the Japanese flag and got me balloons and pizza and we drank cherry coke from wine glasses XD Though I missed Princess, it was so fun. Muika had brought my bass to the garage so after dinner and gifts [a huge jasmine candle and green tea! which i realize i left there >.>] we thought to go look at some composition and play a little while it wasn't too late. Totally all chill, Muika hands Satto his guitar and then me my bass. I put it on and noticed them standing all proud with a knowing smirk and I suddenly felt it. A strap. My strap? Yes. They got me a new bass strap, which is like indestructible and sturdy and so amazing! I had to give it a name it was that great, so William has a new stage partner, Reita. :D hahahahaha
The day before this, I put in my two weeks notice at a job I held that hadn't been giving me any hours for nearly a month. So The rest of that night, they helped me look up music themed jobs and apply online. I'm still going to put a few more in before the day is done. I'm excited to get a new 2nd job. Change can be promising.
We're planning on visiting Princess tomorrow to spend time with her family and invite them to a BBQ (: I can't wait to focus more time on them. I really should have all along and so I can say I am proud if I get a slightly lower score on tests if it means my studying time was spent practicing music, because that IS where my priorities are.
I got my drivers license renewed, and made an appointment for the doctors. I have been having very scary anemic attacks all of a sudden. Taking care of myself as best I can isn't enough anymore, I need more help. So I hope that goes well and begin to feel less fragile. It's very different knowing you could have an attack within the hour if you miss even one little thing to help your body do its best. I'm sure I'll blog about that later once I find out more about it, but I my symptoms are a long list. I really don't feel in control and put together. I lose myself really.
I get light headed,
my heart flutters easily
my limbs tremble and shake
my dyslexia gets insane
I get confused, forgetful
tired, faint
my strength drops dramatically
I get in an undesirable mood
I get cold easily
and my mild asthma suddenly likes to kick in.
I think, since music is my passion, I couldn't find a better reason to take the best care of myself. I can't have anything hold me back, not even my own body; so i need to take care of my health. I will have no excuses when it comes to this.
