I've been working a ton lately. I was working at Home Depot, Petruzzello's, and my moms work, all that on top of 15 credits this semester. On Thursday I had an interview for an internship with Oakland County. Its a management internship with the environment/resource department of Oakland County. Anyways, the lady from Career Services at Oakland Univ totally freaked me out about this interview... she gave me this huge packet of potential interview questions that i needed to be ready for... crazy stuff like:
Provide an example of when you have utilized fact-finding skills to gain information for analyzing and coming to a decision regarding a problem.
From the questions that were in this packet, the interview sounded like more of an interrogation then anything. But good news- they didn't ask me anything too crazy during the interview, and I survived. There were two people interviewing me and they said they would make their decision in about a week or two. Well the very next day, they called me and left me a voicemail saying they would love to have me working for them, and they would like to offer me the internship!!! How exciting is that!! And these internships for the county are extremely competitive so I must be doing something right! It is also known that once you get your foot in the door, I could very possibly be set for a job when I graduate. And who wouldn't want to work for Oakland County...
Oakland County has been named the fourth most digitally advanced county in America for cities with populations of 500,000 or more. and on top of that, it's one of the top finacial counties in the country, ranked around 5th or something. So yeah, if you can't tell already, i'm pretty damn excited.
So on top of my 15 credits, I will be working for Oakland County 20 hrs a week, i babysit on Tuesdays, i work at Home Depot Wednesday nights and Sundays, and I will keep working at Petruzzello's a couple times a month.
With the car situation, I'm not having as good of luck as I hoped. I found my dream car but my dad didn't feel the same... I found the perfect 325ci... 2003, coupe 2 dr, silver, black leather, sports package, heated seats, chrome/black trim (none of that wood shit that 95% of bmws have), sport bucket seats, i could go on for days about this car, 45k miles. Downside-26g out the door which can't be lowered anymore b/c i'm paying extra to have it certified to 100k miles, and that involves getting new tires for it since the ones that are on it, will not pass inspection. Another downside my dad pointed out is that its not as clean as it should be, carpet is worn a little (nothing extreme) and theres a couple little stone chips or whatever in it, but overall he does not think its worth that much.
My dad wants me to get the 2003 325i (same exact car except it has 4 drs, which i was going for the whole 2 dr sporty look) oh yeah, but the 4 dr has a sunroof. This car is in immaculate condition tho, not one stone chip, interior and carpet look brand new, it has 11k miles less then the 325ci, and its about 3-4g cheaper. And its already certified to 100,000 miles so i wouldnt be paying extra to have the extended warrenty. Soo i gotta decide if i'm going to be happy with another 4 dr or if thats not really what i want. Any input would be considered.
And now i need to finish my homework for my online class so i can shower and get ready for work.
