The AZ to CA explaination

This one is for Josh...

Here's the 60 second version of how/why we moved from AZ to CA:

I got fired in December 2007 and couldn't find a job until March. This job paid me $8/hour for about 20 hours a week. Peter was exclusively doing IT consulting contracts from home at the time, but his clients weren't very reliable with paying their bills. At the end of April, we'd run out of money to borrow to pay the rent.

We sold everything and left on May 2nd.

We lived in San Francisco for the first six weeks - first three weeks with random lesbians we met on the street after locking our keys in the car. The next three weeks we spent sleeping in the car because the lesbians disappeared and we had no where else to go.

We moved to San Mateo after Peter got a great job offer. We lived in a hotel there for two weeks - during the second week, our car broke down. Ironically, it chose this summer to overheat...

We moved to a new hotel in Mountain View and have been here for the past three weeks. The car finally got repaired this week after being undriveable for since leaving San Mateo. We plan on finding permanent housing for August in Silicon Valley, but I am still searching the entire bay for work.

I might have a job at Google that starts soon, but I have a hard time trusting the unprofessional twits at the staffing agency. Peter works for a start up called Compiere(dot com) and makes twice as much as he ever did in the past... also, he only had income for 3 out of 11 months we lived together in Phoenix... so I'm not rushing into a shitty job that I don't want to keep just for the sake of income.
