still waiting...
okay for the three of you guys that read this...here's an update...
i went to a lawyer on saturday and he said that my new landlord basically has no case and he doesn't even think that this could get as far as court...so he told me 1st to pay my rent and second to write a letter stating that i would VIGOROUSLY defend myself if i was served with the unlawful declarations notice...so i sent both care of certified mail so i could track their progress and have proof that i sent both...meanwhile nobody's rent check from last month has been cashed except for the one girl who had given her thirty days notice...(she had to duck out on 3 cancer patients to go down and meet with the management company, at their demand)...
today i am home all day and still have not been served, despite the fact that the manager said on thursday she was going to file and it was "TOO LATE" for any of my proof, including my previous landlord's testimony...
anyway...i am feeling much better and far more confident that a few days ago, especially now that I know my old landlord will back me up...i hope that they decide not to serve me and i don't have to go to court....I'm finally, as of today, able to eat and sleep pretty normally...tomorrow I have a job interview for a position with a lawyer...so hopefully i'll feel normal enough to do well at that, because even though its not my dream job its ALOT MORE money...
