(no subject)
My boyfriend is going to Tokyo on business for three weeks and invited me to come along. It's so tempting since I didn't get to see much of the nightlife there when I stayed with my aunt and uncle last time because they always instructed their driver to bring me back in time for dinner. On the other hand, having lived in Japan, it's not like there's anything I particularly want to see that I haven't already. It seems a bit of waste to go all the way there just so I can gorge myself on takoyaki and sakura mochi, especially since I will likely become unemployed if I do go (damned car payments!).
I'm actually in the middle of interviewing for another job right now. The one I got in June has managed to kill quite a bit of my free time, and my completed outline for the last chapter of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy has just been taunting me for the past few months. It doesn't help that my muse has switched over to slash mode, and appears to be completely uninterested in writing sex scenes where not all of the participants have a penis. Too bad I can't think of a workable reason for Hermione to become a man via polyjuice and then have Harry agree to sleep with her. :p
I'm going to be in Wisconsin later this week for the next round of interviews, and I'm pretty excited since I've never actually been in the midwest before. I'm pretty sure I already have some lactaid pills packed away. :)
Out of curiosity today, I decided to check where on the Flesch-Kincaid Reading Level scale my HP fics fall under; surprisingly, every single one is apparently in the 11th grade level. I almost thought the damned thing was broken until I put in one of my comment replies and got a 4th grade level for it. I hope that's the reason why I've had some complaints from readers that they didn't understand the stories rather than just me being unclear.
