Though I honestly thought I was doing well before I got the score....
In other news, I've began to pack all the stuff that I need to mail back to the States. Thank goodness I bought mostly small souvenirs. The shipping charges on this thing is gonna be a killer.
I also have a lot of books that I need to send separately; just bought three more tonight, in fact. My mom has been bugging me to get her more vegetable recipes as she really needs to eat more of it, so I bought a really good one dedicated solely to vegetable dishes. The only problem is it's all in Japanese, of course, so it's completely useless unless I'm there to do the cooking.
The other two were more picture dictionaries aimed at children because I just couldn't resist them. I was tempted to grab some fairytale ones as well since that happens to be an obsession of mine, but I decided that I really don't want to ship that many hardcovered books back home.
As for Symbiosis, I finished writing the first draft last night and it's now under my beta's mercy. I'm a bit worried about how well it'll flow with the previous two chapters considering how upbeat it turned out. I'm pretty happy with it apart from that, however, since I adore writing trio interaction. I just have to be careful and make sure it doesn't dominate the story like it's currently doing with that D/Hr fic I've been working on the past year.
