Santa's Lap

I've totally succumbed to Christmas euphoria. I don't know why, because I was never that in to Christmas before this year. I mean, Christmas is great, but decorating for it usually doesn't make me all nostalgic and giddy. I think this means I'm getting old.

Our hall looks so amazing. Screw you, Hayden East floor 2 and your stolen lights. Do you have Jack Skellington? An eight-foot-tall snowman? I'm not impressed by your tree. We have two, plus several in windows. Plus, ours comes from the heart. We didn't buy (steal?) our Christmas cheer in no store. I strung that popcorn on those strings by hand. Do you have Santa in a Wal-Mart shopping cart sleigh? Ooh, a menorah, we're so multicultural. Whatever, you faux-PC bastards. We have no need to flaunt our inclusivity. You can't top the street cred that comes from my Christmas tree, which has an angel on top that I made when I was four.

I saw Palindromes by Todd Solondz (the guy who did Welcome to the Dollhouse) the other day. It was great, but be forewarned: it's extremely weird.

Speaking of weird:
"Joey, eat this cookie from the floor! It has a hair on it! Eat the hair!"

I am torturing Melissa with Christmas polka music. Frankie Yankovic, the Polka King. Possibly the most famous Slovene. I heard someone in the Monkeys was Slovenian. Also Dan Majerle. We are very proud.
