One of my resolutions is to keep these goals to a reasonable number.
1. Do a physical, hands-on project with Dad or Boo. If it's Dad, we're going to build a bed or a headboard for a bed for my apartment. If it's Boo, she and I will build a piece of furniture or some kind of accent for her bedroom. Or do both!
2. Mend a bridge I've burned, whether it's a personal relationship or a fandom one.
3. Do better work at my job at church. It's a job for an organized person, and I'm anything but an organized person ... which means that it's an opportunity for me to grow. I want to become organized, so I can do the job properly and support the women who run the organization.
4. Stay at least two months ahead on car payments. Reduce credit card debt and implement ideas from Personal Finance class for managing my money more wisely, including a concrete budget.
4a. Budget time wisely, as well. Spend more time on personal projects and reading new books, and less on the Internet without neglecting the friends I've found there.
5. Think about Emerson's quote: "Rings and jewels are not gifts but apologies for gifts. The only true gift is a portion of yourself." How can I stop apologizing and start giving?
