Ok for some really odd reason, regardless of what time I go to bed or how much alcohol was consumed...I have been waking up extremly early. AND if anyone believes this, its an hour earlier each time. Woke up 8:30 Sunday, 7:30 Monday...and yep, I've been up since 6:30am. I am bored and tried watching Simpsons, then drove to Chick fil a to get coffee. But now I dont even want it. I am PSYCHO
With my 21st birthday only 12 days away, I can say that my fake has definatly been well paid off for :) John stayed until last night, so we decided to go see Jive Caravan at Quixotes (old Copper Creek/Tigris). I had never seen them before, and they are SOOO awesome. We were unfortunatly late and didnt get there until 12 (due to HELLISH WORK NIGHT--more later)so we got there right as they were ending their 1st set with Shakedown Street....I love that song!! During break they were doing all this Adult Swim stuff...eh. I hate adult swim, with the exception of Family Guy, bc thats the one show that makes any sense. Also during break when I went to go get drinks (which by the way, never get a mixed drink from the tall redhead guy at Quixotes. He seriously makes the entire cup liquor. Which can be fun I guess...but not what I wanted!!!) John had been talking to this guy. I went over and introduced myself, and he goes "You go to Quiznos a lot". I just laughed and was like yeah...it turned out he worked there. I would have recognized him if he had his hair pulled back, cause I seriously go to Quiznos twice a week. (I'm lame, I know) He turned out to be in Liquid Caravan, another band that plays around here that I've been wanting to see forever. He was so nice and gave us some cds. ANYWAY. Jive Caravan came back and played until 2, I wish they played for a couple more hours..I was really into it. They did some covers of Grateful Dead and Sublime...also they had some guy come up and take the bass to play, I think that was the best part of the night..he was that good. The cool thing was it wasnt too crowded, so there was room to dance around and such.
Ok---last night at work = INSANITY. Let me just describe it as I had a party of 20 to come in at 7:30pm...I set up for it before we opened (which takes a lot of time), then 14 people come in at 6pm and my manager decides to let the other server use that room! AGHHH!! and did the other server ever help me set up for my party again? nooooo! So when my party finally came, they informed me it grew from 20 to 30 people. And during this time, since we were so short-staffed, I had 4 tables out in the other room. Seriously I was about to break down, you dont even know how crazy that is. But all ended up well, cause I walked out with $115---thats what I've made on my best weekend nights, and this was a MONDAY!! but we close at 9pm, I didnt get out til 11:15pm. ughh.
I had a really good weekend. Sunday was a nice day, so John and I took Patrick out to Chewlaca park. So gorgeous out there, especially if you head down to the creek/waterfall area. I could sit out on those rocks forever. What weirded me out was some girl had 2 dogs with her and a ferret on a leash. ferrets are not meant to go hiking!! The poor thing looked terrified. Anyway...Patrick loved it out there. We also went up to play frisbee on this field, but Patrick was much more interested in playing with this big boxer. It was SOO cute to watch them play together.
I'm tired of writing. I did a lot of other stuff too, but who cares. addddddddddddios
