My first 6am entry since.....I dunno probably the first one ever! John had to wake up super early to get to work at 9 (time diff.) so I got up to make him eggs and coffee, and now I cant really go back to sleep for some reason. I can see the sunrise from my window and it is really beautiful. Anyhoo what did I get into this weekend...Friday I worked, Saturday woke up and ran then John came into town and we started watching Ghostbusters on TV bc he was horrified that I hadnt ever seen that movie...then sadly I had to go to work, although it didnt bore John a bit because he slept the WHOLE TIME! Work was CRAP....actually this whole weekend at work was crap. Its been my 4th weekend working and the least $ I've made. Friday it totalled up to me making 9.5% in tips. I fuckin hate people that dont know how to tip. I'm not being full of myself when I'm saying I'm not a bad server, cause I'm not!! I'm not perfect but if I mess up someones order (its happened like, twice) it gets fixed really quick and I apologize properly. But I think the thing is, people dont know what a good tip is. Some ppl still think 10% is ok, and its not, 15% is STANDARD!! wow there I go on a rant. Saturday wasnt much better...I made around 11%. Which is still good pocket change, but.....after all the crap Saturday, me having my own party of 35 (AND TABLES IN A SECTION!) when the party was supposed to be shared with another server. But the lady that came was retarded and said "oh, we're just going to order appetizers", so the other guy server told me I could just take the party myself. THEN they all decide all 35 ppl want entrees, and oh yeah after they told me they wanted it all on one bill, they turn around and say nevermind separate it all. Separating 35 meals on 1 ticket into 35 is NOOOT easy especially on our machine, that took me like 15 minutes and time out of helping other people. crap crap crappy. I was so mad I left that night without even rolling any silverware, and were supposed to roll 50. oopsss!! haha anyway.......luckily Saturday night turned out to be much better. John and I went to SAE to see, of course VP. This house I swear is the most hidden house out of any fraternity, I had to consult both Tara and Carley before finally stumbling upon it. And it took me about 10 minutes to park....but the house ended up to be pretty cool and we got inside long enough for Chris and Cam to see us..I got up front for a second which was most definatly NOT an easy task, and by that time Carley had left the front to sit. It was way too crowded in there and I wasnt feeling the vibe so John and I left to go to Supper Club.......rollin in the hay was playing there and I've heard good things about them so we went. Now last time I didnt have much trouble with my ID but this time I was really worried, because it was the same bouncer but he looked good and hard at my ID and called just about everyone there over to look at it...at this point I was defintaly shrilly so it was hard to keep cool but what ended up helping me were these dumbass kids who kept trying to bust past the bouncer to get in (haha I admired their effort)...these kids were pissing the bouncer off and I guess he had been dealing with that all night, so he gave me my ID and was like "I'm sorry, its been a long night..go ahead" ........haha he def knew its not real but he was just tired of dealing with everything. So we get in, and for once there is room to move around!!! Rollin in the hay is kinda like a funky bluegrass band, and they do a lot of cover songs so everyone can sing along. They did part of the deliverance song which made me so happy. But it was 3 guys on guitars//banjos...then a fiddle player for some of the songs, and this crazy old hippie guy on a washboard. Let me tell you, the washboard guy MADE the band. He was such a trip, he was really enjoying himself which made the atmosphere all the better. I had never seen anyone play a washboard and it sounds stupid, but it actually sounded really good. Me and John were thinking the band was great but without the washboard guy, they wouldnt be as cool. Anyway so after the show I find out from Matt (whos seen them many times in statesboro) that the washboard guy is "wild man steve" who only plays a few shows. He isnt even a part of the band! :( He was so cool. sooo............then john and I were having major munchies at this point so we hit up IHOP........oooh bad. THey werent even busy in there, maybe 4 tables. We order and 10 minutes later, we hadnt even gotten our drinks. I was going to just go back there and get them myself but the manager got them for me, and then the server has the nerve to come back to us and he starts saying something like I'm sorry, they were making the drinks. Uh....yeah...no you just forgot them idiot. Then we had to wait an HOUR for our food, only to have them bring us everything wrong. We were so pissed we almost left.....but finally the food came and I wasnt even hungry at this point, I ate about 4 bites of my omelet. It wasnt even our server that brought out the food. Then after we pay and leave, we find our server sitting with a friend in a car near Johns truck, and he is totally doing drugs of some kind...so obvious. He leans out the window and yells hey guys, did you leave a tip on my table? ................what kind of server asks that!!!!!! what did he need to pay his dealer??? We were like uhh on the credit card...then we left and I yelled out retard to him, or something, I dont remember...lol.
OOOkk then after sleeping in til what we thought was 4:30p (but actually 11:30a bc my alarm clock got messed up), I made lunch and John and I enjoyed the nice day. We later watched Changing Lanes, and I didnt like it so much because I spent the whole movie feeling sorry for Samuel L Jacksons character. But the ending was alright. We went to McAlisters **YUM** then all the way to Opelika DQ to try one of those blueberry cheesequakes that we kept seeing on the commercials...drove there and waited in the longest line only to realize they dont have those at the opelika one!! dumb store. Then John actually left to go home, but then came back and ended up staying because he had left something at my apt. We watched stuff on the Travel Channel about Alaska, but it didnt really help educate us about our summer..we just learned that Alaska gets a LOT of earthquakes (yay..) and about the Ididerod, or however you spell that.
Cant go back to sleeeeeep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
