New addition

During our great adventure yesterday, the craft store called to tell us that the framing my husband had ordered was ready for pickup.  This was a twenty four by fifty five inch enlarged photograph that my husband had taken last fall.  When we ordered the frame, it sounded like it would be about six feet long. (yes - it was not cheap.  Thank heavens for the sixty percent off coupon!)

We made arrangements with our friends who have a pickup to transport it to the house.  This gave us an added benefit of assistance for him to hang it.  It now hangs proudly on the wall above the couch.  The can lights in the ceiling did not have to be adjusted to shine just right on it.

My goodness.  It is a beautiful print.  The image is so clear that I can stand a few feet away from it and stare at it.  In no time, you get the impression that you can take a few steps and touch the water.  I feel the peaceful breeze that was blowing the day that he took the photo.

Imagine a beautiful old grist mill with the pond beside it.  Fall colors. Blue sky.  It's gorgeous.

Did I mention that I am proud of the talents he has?  It might not be my most favorite image, nor is it one that I would have thought I wanted for the living room, but it is a beautiful image that I do love.

Now I have a place to escape.  Maybe I need to setup in the living room and stare at the image.  Maybe it will take me to a place where I can be more creative.

I will keep you up to date!
