Clobbering Time
Arms folded across his chest and he pulled himself to his full height, and looked down at her with a stern expression. Ida looked up at him, rolling eyes as she did so, not intimated in the slightest.
“I’m not telling you where she is.” Ida said, rolling her eyes back down to her task; staring off into space pleasantly ignoring everyone.
“Ida! This is a matter of importance! Now tell me where she is!”
“Why would I want the dope fiend back? It’s finally quiet around here and I’m going to enjoy it.”
“If you tell me where she is, I’ll…” he racked his brain for what Ida would actually be swayed with, “I’ll get you that upgrade you’ve been wanting!”
“Ohhh!” Ida’s eyes lit up then calculated her options, “Alright, I’ll tell you.”
She went to the computer and typed, her eyes flickering up at her boss and the two other people that stood behind.
“What’s with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb?” she asked.
“They’re accompanying me to find Dubbie.” He answered.
“I don’t care.” Ida responding printing their necessary paperwork, “Now get out of here and let me get back to me time.”
“Thank you, Ida. You’re a good friend.”
“Out!”
Chuckling, The Middleman left the room, Lacey and Noser following behind. Ida shook her head.
“They’re all on drugs.” She muttered to herself.

Time Means Nothing In Paradise
Wendy never thought she’d see the day where she’d actually want to thank Ida. For being an android, she sure picked a helluva vacation spot. It was truly paradise. She was in the Caribbean and loving every second of it. The water was a beautiful blue as was the cloudless sky. She smiled and couldn’t help but giggle.
She explored her villa; it was as spacious as it was spectacular. There were three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, living room and dining room, and a sundeck with a saline pool that overlooked the beach down the lush surrounding area. The furnishings were all Caribbean style with lots of reds and dark brown accents.
As time passed, Wendy amused herself by going for a swim, relaxing in the lounge chairs that surrounded the pool. She unpacked her painting supplies and set them up on the sundeck, facing the trees and the beach. She stared at the blank canvas that was sitting on her easel and found herself longing to paint.
But her creativity was gone. She growled and threw her paintbrush at the canvas and whirled around, heading back inside. It was zombie movie time. She went inside and dug through her suitcase, finding her collection of zombie movies. She popped one into the DVD player and climbed onto her spacious bed.
Wendy watched the movie with little interest, her mind elsewhere. She drifted off to sleep, the image of her Boss’s hurt expression drifting across her mind.
She awoke sometime later, her body jolting awake out of a sound sleep. She could hear voices. The room had been filled with the light of the sun when she had been awake. But now, it was dark, the sun long gone. Slowly, she sat up and reached under her pillow. Her fingers connected with the cold metal of her middlegun that she had stashed there earlier.
She sat up and aimed the gun at the closed bedroom door. The door opened, shining light into the room. It was intense, harsh, and she blinked, attempting to adjust to the sudden brightness. Three bodies where outlined by the light but she couldn’t make our their faces.
The bedroom light clicked on and she squinted, nearly blinded. When her vision adjusted, she made out Lacey, Noser, and The Middleman standing in the doorway.
“Oh [BLEEP] me!” She groaned.
