Hey there, the people.
I love cooking. I enjoy spending time making good things that taste nice and make people go 'Mm, Jon, that's really good!' (being girlfriend-less, this is more or less the only time I can count on that happening). Oddly, my specialities and interests are not from what would be called traditional fare, I guess... I think most people who love cooking cook Asian, French, Italian food, the really impressive, big-flavours-but-light-enough-to-not-leave-you-bloated food. I love that kind of thing too but my real passion is towards British and Eastern European cooking. As such, I'm cooking Goulash at my friend Laonicos' house this Sunday, as part of an 'international' meal (Laonicos also loves cooking, and is probably better than I am). Victor is doing Crepes, which makes sense, owing to his Frenchitude.
Next! My trombone playing is yoyoing concerningly at the moment. I have days when I'm all 'FUCK YEAH THE TROMBONE I CAN PLAY IT AND I WILL DANCE *DANCES*', but today was more of a 'I CAN'T PLAY THIS AND I WANT TO THROW THE TROMBONE BUT IT COST TOO MUCH AND WOULD HURT PEOPLE IF THRUST AT THEM AT HIGH SPEED *CRIES*'. I'm also a little bit ill which means I haven't done any practice. Oh yeah, dedicated = me.
In other news, women are a pain in the arse of what is otherwise quite a pink and fluffy creature of life at the moment.
