It Is Finished
I finished the last Harry Potter book today. I must say I've enjoyed it as much as any of the other books (which is to say greatly). The body count was a little high but the ending was good. I believe it maintained a level of realism despite the fact that it was a fantasy setting. I was also glad to see that some of my hypotheses were correct. Although it's a little sad that the series is now over, I can look forward to going back and rereading it all over again.
In other good news, it looks like our house-guests may be leaving us earlier than expected. An apartment has become available for them on August 1st. It's still up in the air as to whether they'll take it sooner (as financial resources need to be considered), but my brother and I are hoping they will. While I have nothing against said house-guests, the prospect of a house filled with people (2 of whom are children) fills me with dread. In fact, my brother's friend is already starting to annoy me a bit. It's not really his fault. I just prefer to be left to my own devices. In fact, I prefer not be acknowledged at all most of the time. We leave Friday to move them down (hopefully we'll be back Saturday).
