White Nectarines...
Yum. They are so delicious! I'll pick them over peaches, pears, plums, or any other delicious fruit any day. I had been keeping a lookout for them all year but couldn't find them. This past weekend, I went to Valli Produce for some red bell peppers to make stuffed peppers and spotted them. I was afraid they might not taste so yummy so I only picked up 3. Now, I'm regretting it. They are sweetly crisp, light, tasty, and refreshing! Every time I bite into a piece of white nectarine, the sensation takes me back to life in California almost a decade ago... when white nectarines were constant and plentiful. Still, I could never get enough.
