MSR3K: Thoughts on Hub - part 2

Jun 17, 2008 14:16

All righty then…don’t forget to strap in…there are still plenty of twists and turns.

BACK TO ACTION:

* Dude…you’re not married to all of them *

Oh…my…gods. Remember when Baltar used to almost tremble and quake in the presence of the Centurions? Yeah…not so much anymore. The whole ‘engage and focus’ thing seems to have gone to his head. *LOL *

Hee…there’s a real hierarchy around the Baseship…and the Centurion is the dung heap at the bottom. *snorts *

I’m dying…’they told you about god, didn’t they?’ Baltar…just…kills…me sometimes.

Hrm…Roslin’s not looking so good. And I kind of love that Helo stands to help her…even if he’s not so much with the agreeing with her right now.

Oh…Helo. I hear what you’re saying…but this is Madam Brick Wall you’re talking to…do you really think ‘honest’ is something she cares about right now? Let’s hope you pick the right side this time.

Wow…Roslin sounds really bad, too.

Okay…I get the ‘at best’ parts…but Roslin telling Helo she’s not saying she’d keep the way to earth for herself is a big fat whopper…doesn’t matter that the Cylons would do the same if they could. Weird how that didn’t bother me when they were planning the super sneaky plan.

ARGH!!! HELO!! Damn right he’s not married to the entire production line. *headdesk * But…really…I kind of love how murky it is for him…and I want that to continue…but I bet it doesn’t.

Who else thinks that Roslin’s inability to be sentimental plays a big part in the reason Elosha’s in her head? No one? Must just be me.

Ohhh…an alarm…must be at the Hub. Guess Helo won’t have time to find someone else to do the job…he’ll have to suck it up and do it himself. Could be interesting to see which way he goes.

Meanwhile…back at the Hub with D’Anna, Cavil, and Boomer…

Ah…the rebel Baseship has arrived…things are gonna get ugly.

Duh…Cavil doesn’t wanna know who the final five are…did D’Anna really think he’d change his tune?

Oh…this is kind of cool:

D’Anna: I’ll tell you. I will tell you. I’ll start shouting out their names. Why do you risk it?
Cavil: Are you going to help end this war or are you useless?

[twenty-five Heavy Raiders just launched…yep…gonna get ugly]

Seelix: Come on…let’s get this carpool started. (Seriously? Carpool?)

Gotta say the shots of the Heavy Raiders pulling the Vipers looks damn cool. And when the cables release? Wicked awesome.

And there’re flying ships…readying for battle…YAY!!!!!!

And more Cylon dialog:

D’Anna: All the inhibitions will be lifted. Oh, I sense it

[Rebel Baseship…blah, blah, blah…gonna attack…blow the Hub]

Cavil: That would be mass murder. (Uh…hello, Pot…did he not attack the rebels and commit mass murder? Exactly)

Cavil: Death would be permanent for all of us. They’re all insane.
D’Anna: Permanent death? Oh…that makes this all the more meaningful.

SSNNAAAPPP! Say good-bye Brother Cavil.

And watch Boomer run like hell…she’s not stupid.

BRIEF PAUSE FOR RANDOM OPINION:

Wow…the destruction of the FTL on the Hub is spectacular…especially considering it’s such a small, short part of the episode. I never, ever realize how much I miss the space battles until we get one…then I’m all geeked out over it.

And Bear’s music…I cannot say enough about how brilliantly he scores these scenes. I so want every single moment of music from him on the soundtracks…and we don’t get it. Sadly.

BACK TO ACTION:

* Things going BOOM and a philosophical conversation…with a Centurion *

Okie…FakeSharon and Helo are making their approach to the Hub…

Oh Baltar…what the hell are you trying to do? God doesn’t want any of his creations to be slaves? Yeesh. Okay…I get the point…but again…payoff is important. Wouldn’t it be cool if Baltar’s little convo with the Centurion sets up yet another betrayal of not only the human race…but the Cylon one as well? Just saying.

Ohh…more gorgeous battle scenes…seriously…this stuff rocks. Um…the music, too. *grins *

Wow…the interior of the Hub…with Helo and FakeSharon…beautifully creepy and again…the music is just perfect…all dissonance and eerie.

Okay…first…where the hell do they keep the robes and towels for resurrection? Second…did D’Anna sense them coming or what? Eh…maybe she heard them.

Yeah…that’s right…she snapped his neck. You guys were almost too late.

Yikes!! Things going ‘splodey. Not that I don’t love it…but EEK!

Mad dash to escape the Hub…D’Anna’s not stupid…she’s the only Three around right now.

Ah…so that’s what happened to Whiny. It’ll take someone WAY smarter than me to explain how he made it back to Galactica or at least close enough to get their attention. *handwaves * At least he’s responsible for alerting the fleet so they could investigate. That’s a good thing. RIP, Whiny.

Dayum…the CGI effects are just incredible. Sick of me saying that yet? I’m blown away.

Ugh…truly could have done without the squicky Eight in the goo vat dealio. *shudders * Methinks Helo could have done without it, too. Bleh. Wonder if he’ll have to see Hera’s shrink for the nightmares that’ll conjure?

And more awesome space battle ‘splosions.

What the flaming hell…now Baltar is talking about how pathetic it is to put food on a dog’s snout? Okay, okay…again…I get it…but I want payoff. Dammit.

Wow…those bombs exploding look a wee bit like a fireworks show…pretty damn cool.

Hmm…when I said payoff…Baltar almost getting blown to bits wasn’t what I had in mind…

Ouch…that’s gotta hurt. And probably doesn’t bode well for Gaius.

Hee…the explosions even sound a little like launching fireworks. Yeah, yeah…I’ll get off the train eventually…hang in there.

Ack…Roslin and a marine are left to deal with Baltar…yeah…that makes sense. Although I guess the Cylon models are probably trying to defend the ship…or out in the soup…who knows.

Oh look…a conveniently placed med kit…how lucky. *rolls eyes * Woulda been better if Roslin had to work with whatever was at hand…IMO.

Yeah…send the marine…who should at least have some kind of emergency field training to find out what’s going on…THAT makes sense. *snorts * Not saying Roslin’s not capable or anything…but the ship is under attack people…let’s all leave the sick and dying president of the colonies to tend to Baltar’s wound.

BRIEF PAUSE FOR RANDOM OPINION:

Okay…snarky bitching aside…Mary and James truly sell this. Mary’s got just the right amount of aplomb mixed with uncertainty as she handles dealing with Baltar. Channeling Cottle was quite awesome. As is talking herself through it…

And James…oh…he’s just so damn good at Gaius. His bit about Roslin being very pretty is SO HIM!! And the rest that follows…well…let’s get back to action and find out, ‘kay?

BACK TO ACTION:

* Leoben’s got rivers and streams…Gaius has everything else *

Roslin: Man…that morpha works fast.
Baltar: Still. Do you know why I’m so serene right now?
Roslin: You’re doped out of your mind?
Baltar: Because I know god. You need god, Laura. Really, you’d be a different woman. I know god…therefore I know myself.

Oh…the look on Roslin’s face is hysterical…she all but rolls her eyes. Hell…I think she does roll her eyes. *LOL *

Baltar: The truth is…I was harboring the most awful, desperate guilt. A heavy, dark, unimaginable, soul-breaking guilt.

Um…wow…if Roslin’s face was hysterical…Baltar’s is heartbreaking. Kudos to James…for walking that very fine line that makes you totally want to give Gaius a break…a chance to prove he’s more than just an ego wrapped up in libido.

And Mary…here’s Roslin’s chance to confirm what she knows to be true…and the moment it hits her like a bus is palpable. Awesome.

But Gaius isn’t a genius for nothing…even under the influence of morpha…he knows he’s blundering and blathering…but what the hell…he’s already let the cat out of the bag.

Baltar: Now it’s gone. It’s gone…it’s been transformed. I’ve been transformed.

Yeah…Roslin’s not going to let it slide. She really can’t…too much at stake to do so.

Roslin: What was your guilt about?
Baltar: I have no guilt.
Roslin: What was your guilt about?
Baltar: I gave the access codes to the Cylons. They wiped out most of humanity.

Mary plays Roslin’s reaction so, so well. It’s all relief and disbelief all rolled up together. Like having her suspicion…no…her knowledge validated sickens her, yet at the same time proves she has always been dead on in her assessment of Baltar’s characters (or lack thereof).

And Baltar…true to form…deflects blame from himself….putting it all on the larger mysteries of life. It rocks.

Baltar: Of course I didn’t know that’s what I was doing at the time, exactly. But that’s what I did and when I realized what I had done. The magnitude. In that moment I was saved. I was loved. By god. Looking back, I think I was rewarded.

Honestly…this kind of ties back to HeadSix, IMO. In the mini…when he realized and accepted what she was telling him and he told her he wanted to live…she saved him. Loved him…and in a way that was his reward. But of course there’s a whole lot more involved…more to come. It’s truly amazing (the dialog) and I only wish it was this consistently good throughout the whole episode.

Roslin: Rewarded?
Baltar: Pythia talks about the flood that wiped out most of humanity. No one blames the flood. A flood is a force of nature. Through the flood, mankind is rejuvenated, born again.

Oh my…Mary blows me away here…her quiet rage and yeah…sadness…just oozes out. Her reaction is all shuddery breathing and shaky movements. And her face…wow. James, too…amazing. I can’t even describe the look on his face…it’s stark…almost horrified and it’s hard to decide if that’s because he’s reliving the terror of the attacks or because he’s spilling everything to a woman who utterly loathes him. Maybe both.

Baltar: I was another flood, you see. I blamed myself. I blamed myself. But god made the man that made that choice. God made us all perfect. And in that thought, all my guilt flies away. Flies away like a bird.

And Roslin is totally shaking with repressed anger, rage, and I’m gonna go with hatred. Everything she’s known about Baltar is smacking her right in the face…from the guy’s own mouth. Worse? He’s not guilty…nor does he feel guilt. Cause God made him perfect. I’d wanna tear him apart…and Roslin looks like she’s holding herself back from doing the same.

But the kicker? Get ready for it…

Baltar: I can give you that peace, Laura. That freedom. Pray with me. Pray with me.
Laura: Okay.
Baltar: Thank you.
Laura: Okay.

Um yeah…the ‘okay’ part is Laura trying not to lose her shit over being right…you know? Not only about Baltar…but also because he picked the single most inopportune time to go all witnessy on her and try to extol the virtues of his god.

He really outta be praying that she doesn’t put him out of his misery.

BRIEF PAUSE FOR RANDOM COMMENTARY:

Holy fuck…I spoke too soon. Roslin will indeed contemplate ending his miserable existence. Hell, she does more than that…she actively tries to kill him. And yeah…speeding up the process of him bleeding to death isn’t exactly taking aim and snuffing him out…but it IS an attempt to end his life. It’s also a very easy way out for her.

And I gotta take a moment to once again praise the hell out of Mary. We can see the wheels turning in her head…the opportunity is just too damn good to pass up…even if it sickens and horrifies her on some (way buried deep) level. And damn…telling Baltar in soothing tones that it’s all right…he’s fine…while she pulls off the dressing is cold…but Mary plays it almost as if the purpose is to set him free. And maybe herself in the process. I don’t know…I just loved it.

I also loved Gaius asking her not to do it to him. Cause it’s so very much a part of his character to feel that way. It’s always about what others do to him…not what he’s done to warrant the circumstances.

And gads…the blood going from a slight trickle to gloppy plops hitting the floor is just * shudders*

BACK TO ACTION:

* It’s a good thing *

Yay!! More things going all ‘splodey. Wicked awesome angles on the Raider that pretty much gets zapped into oblivion. But hey…at least it shouldn’t come back to be another Scar.

Ohhh…they’ve got D’Anna on board. They’re clear of the Hub…nuke the hell out of the place. And for dramatic effect…let’s repeat the order. *LOL *

Wow…for serious…the effects team really does an awe-inspiring job. The attack launched on the Hub is gorgeous. And the visual is spectacular when it finally blows. Throw in Bear’s score for the scene and it’s a very haunting and fitting end to one of the Cylon’s greatest advantages.

Ah…D’Anna agrees…and something tells me this little exchange will have a lot of meaning later:

D’Anna: And with a whimper, every Cylon in the universe begins to die.
FakeSharon: Yes. That’s right. And it’s a good thing D’Anna. Because now there’s no difference.

Hmm…anyone wonder if it’s just now hitting Helo that there is no difference anymore and his Sharon can die now, too?

FakeSharon: We can all start trusting each other.

Hee…right. The look on D’Anna’s face is amusing…as if. And props to Helo for keeping his yap shut…seriously…let’s see if he can continue to follow orders.

Ugh…Baltar’s wound looks really ick.

Wow…Roslin’s got blood on her hands. I sorta love the metaphor. And Baltar continuing to ask her not to do this to him…please…while she sits facing away from him is another one I like. Yeah, yeah…it’s kinda in your face…the symbolism…but oddly, I love the idea that Roslin is turning her back on everything. That she’s been drifting toward this turning point, choosing not to hear anyone or anything that attempts to pull her out. *shrugs * I said I was totally with her on this journey, right? *LOL *

JUMP!

And we’re back with Elosha…and boy, does she have a lot to say. Standing at the foot of DyingRoslin’s bed with RealRoslin standing in the shadows watching. My guess is RealRoslin better listen up.

Elosha: I’m not saying Baltar’s done more good than harm in the universe. He hasn’t. The thing is…the harder it is to recognize someone’s right to draw breath, the more crucial it is. If humanity is going to prove itself worthy of surviving, it can’t do it on a case-by-case basis. A bad man feels his death just as keenly as a good man.

Roslin: What do you want from me here?

[Aww…Adama stands bedside now…whispering Laura’s name]

Elosha: Just love someone.
Roslin: Looooove. Huh.

BRIEF PAUSE FOR RANDOM COMMENTARY:

Ack! This next part broke me. After Roslin almost snorts that love is all she needs…the monitors go blinky for DyingRoslin then flatline. And what he does next is for the win.

First…he leans over and kisses DyingRoslin…then he sits beside her and my heart breaks right along with his.

Adama: You go. You go. You go and rest now. I’m not going to be selfish anymore. You go. Rest.

And stupid me…I don’t grab the box of tissues fast enough cause what he does next had me seriously welling up. Taking his ring and putting it on DyingRoslin’s hand?

Kills me.

And honestly? What is the big deal with getting pissy about the rings? Not that I’ve seen it all that much about Adama, but the constant bitching about Lee wearing one has me shaking me head sometimes (um…in confusion, to clarify) at the vitriol spewed his way. My thought is, if you’re going to get snarky about Lee (or Adama…Tigh…whomever) wearing a ring that supposedly keeps them attached to their spouses (whether dead or otherwise) then you have to place as much importance on and bitch mightily about the NON-REMOVABLE (unless there’s a laser thingy somewhere in the fleet) Tattoo of Matrimony sported by Kara and Shiny.

But that’s just me.

And I get the whole symbolic meaning and why that rubs people wrong…but I also look at it from the perspective of them being in tight quarters and lacking privacy/security/etc and having something of value (regardless of the sentimentality behind it or the meaning we as viewers attach to it) you don’t just leave it laying around. *shrugs * It’s also not a stretch for me to see all three men wearing it as a reminder of things gone wrong. Hell…Kara still has Zak’s ring and she’s moved way the hell on from that. It’s just not something she’s gonna say ‘fuck it’ and toss it aside…she’ll hold on to it for the reasons listed above.

And before anyone starts in about Adama reusing the ring being ‘ick’…I get that, too. I’m just saying a paradigm shift is sometimes necessary to see that dwindling resources (Magical Factory Ship aside) might play a big factor in lack of sentiment/meaning attached to inanimate objects…or placing new meaning on the things of value currently in possession. *shrugs * Bitch fest over.

Anyhoo…picking back up where we left off…that would be me crying and Adama saying good-bye to the woman he loves…RealRoslin might just be getting a clue…and that’s a good thing, IMO. The thoughtful look on her face right before they complete the jump has me hoping she’ll wake the hell up. *LOL *

BACK TO ACTION:

* Not part of the plan *

Ah! She did. Although how the fuck did she get clear across the room? *shrugs and hand waves *

Heh…I kinda love Roslin fearing Baltar may already be dead. The creeped out look on her face before she checks for a pulse is too cool.

Love her relief when Baltar jerks in pain…means he’s still alive. And the ‘don’t go’ was a nice touch. Something tells me she might be trying to save him for the wrong reasons though.

Ouch…the Rebel Baseship has some heavy damage.

Uh oh…FakeSharon is shocked that getting D’Anna to the control room wasn’t part of the plan. That’s not gonna go over well.

Hee. D’Anna just thinks it’s interesting.

Okay…honestly? Roslin starting a line on Gaius? Um yeah…not buying that one at all.

Ohhh…True Confessions of a Colonial Pilot. Helo has to take D’Anna directly to the president. But wait…that wasn’t the deal. But…but…Helo’s only doing what he was told to do…okay? FakeSharon is not happy. Yeah…and D’Anna’s gotta get her two cents in there…double dealing is sooooo human…Eight never got that. I’d say she’s getting it now.

Gotta say I wasn’t sure Helo would follow orders and take D’Anna to Roslin…I’m weirdly glad that he is…but also kind of feel for him…cause he’s right about the not being honest part.

Roslin losing her shit over Gaius potentially dying is kinda cool to watch. Even if I completely DO NOT buy that’s she can start an IV…I can run with the best of the logic jumps most of the time…this ain’t one of them. Doesn’t matter that she’s mumbling she doesn’t know how to do things. And honestly? Laying her head down on an injured man? Eh…defeats the purpose a bit. Although in that case I can sorta run with the idea she’s exhausted and freaked out.

I LOVE the way Tahmoh plays the next part with FakeSharon. The confusion he’s got to be experiencing is all right there. And yep…I’ll say it again…I’m really thrilled he’s following orders…that he’s not sure he agrees with…and taking D’Anna to Roslin. It’s kind of the one thing that tells me he knows FakeSharon ISN’T his Sharon…even though she’s got all the memories, etc. I think that’s gonna end up being important.

Prize fool? Not really…just a wee bit too trusting of someone you’re NOT married to. Who’s to say FakeSharon wasn’t trying to use that a bit? The connection she’d know Helo would have to her model. Who’s to say I’m not a tad crazy in the theorizing department. *LOL *

‘Trust’…nice parting shot from FakeSharon.

Hee. Hello? Can we go find the president now? I’m still in my bathrobe people. *LOL *

Um…is time wonky again? Roslin had time to curl up on the other bed thing? *sigh *

Truly glad they didn’t forget the D’Anna/Baltar connection. Makes sense she’d be concerned about him.

Ahh…I liked the exchange between Helo and Roslin when he told her the Hub was destroyed. She orders him to keep everyone away…no matter what it takes and he nods his assent. To me…that’s some growth on his part.

Uh…Gaius is injured but he’s going to survive. We need to hear this from D’Anna? Isn’t that kind of a ‘duh’ thing?

Ha! D’Anna thinks it’s going to be a long time jumping back. Doesn’t she look thrilled with the prospect of spending all that time with Roslin? *LOL *

I enjoyed this conversation…until one little thing ruined it for me:

Roslin: I’ve got time.
D’Anna: [snorts] Is that right? Well, you went to a lot of trouble to bring me here…deceiving your so-called allies.

[Oh look…there’s a conveniently placed desk in the room with the large bench/bed things in it…]

D’Anna: I suppose you’ve got some questions.
Roslin: Yes, I do. I’d like to talk about the five Cylons in my fleet.
D’Anna: So you know about the final five?
Roslin: I know they’re supposed to know the way to earth.
D’Anna: But you don’t know that you’re one of them.

And here it comes…RUINATION.

BRIEF PAUSE FOR RANDOM TOTALLY BITCHY OPINION:

Roslin’s face goes blank as she digests the info…then the possibility that she is one hits her…and BOOM! D’Anna chuckles and tee-hees about the look on Roslin’s face.

WHY was this necessary??? It’s cheap…and lame. And yeah…the D’Anna that did the expose on life aboard the Galactica had some fun with inappropriate wit…but honestly? This is just bug ass stupid. The only way it would have worked for me (or could work for me later) is if Roslin really is the final Cylon…which has about as much of a chance of happening as hell freezing over.

I don’t know…just bugs me. I’ll chalk it up to a lame ass attempt to lighten a fairly bleak episode…but yeah…RUINATION.

Bah!

BACK TO ACTION:

* Deception is a waste of time *

Yeah…so D’Anna’s not giving Roslin anything…not until she feels safe. THAT I completely understand. Could have done without the Sweetie…cause yeah…stupid.

MmHmm…D’Anna’s mortal now…in fact she’s the only Three in the whole darn universe…gotta protect herself, don’t you know. She’ll tell Roslin who the final five are when they hook up with the fleet.

And by the way…she would have said the same thing if Roslin would’ve met her with a whole lotta Cylons…cause D’Anna doesn’t trust anyone right now. So all the deception…complete waste of time. Roslin’s wry response to that is cool.

Huh? Elosha lied to Roslin? Methinks Roslin heard what she wanted to hear. *LOL *

Isn’t it kind of cool that Roslin is speaking to Elosha AFTER the jump was completed? Kind of like maybe she’s accepted or beginning to accept whatever lesson she’s supposed to learn.

This is excellent:

Elosha: It’s not a vending machine, Laura. You don’t save a life and then cue the celestial trumpets…here’s the way to earth.

Laura gets that…finally. At least I think she does. When Elosha says how disorienting the jumps are…little, limping steps back…Roslin likes it. She’s used to it…every jump brings her closer to home…Galactica. Her home. * YAY * Maybe there’s something there for her…

Maybe there’s something even closer…

BRIEF PAUSE FOR RANDOM OPINON:

Weirdly…I have huge love for this part…there’s something so calm and serene about Roslin. She’s relaxed…shoes kicked off, jacket gone. The past couple of episodes she’s been extremely tense…hunched up or over, rigid, stiff, etc. And yes…some of that is due to the cancer/treatments…I get that.

This is different. Even her voice is lighter, more like PreBitchypantsRoslin. And her face is the biggest difference to me…it’s not all pinched up and scowly…hopefully that makes sense. And when she calls Galactica her home…there’s an almost giddy tone to her voice. I just love it.

Anyhoo…

BACK TO ACTION:

* ‘Bout time *

Aww…Adama’s Raptor looks so itty-bitty floating all by itself.

Ooohh…the way the Baseship jumped in was kinda awesome…just a flash of light seen from the side of the screen. Very cool.

Oh…gods. I LOVE how Adama looks all around to see if any other ships have jumped in…

Random aside…the music is perfect…seriously…Bear blows me away every damn episode.

Quick cut to Adama exiting his Raptor to meet a waiting Roslin. And she doesn’t know what to say. Love it.

Aww…Missed you…Adama knows how to start the dialog. *sniffles *

Me too. *sigh *

HUG!!!! Joy on Roslin’s face. Relief on Adama’s. This is so awesome.

Holy fuck! *jaw drops * Roslin just said ‘I love you’. *stunned *

Adama’s reaction? ‘About time’.

Awesome.

Throw in cupping Roslin’s teary face…and kissing her brow…followed by super duper hug.

Perfect.

For real.

And the credits roll…

Wow.

LINE OF THE NIGHT:

Frankly…it’s a toss up between Elosha sticking it to Roslin and calling her Ma-dame President…and Roslin’s ‘If you’re my subconscious…you’re very full of myself’.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

My nitpicky bitch sessions aside…I loved this episode. As previously mentioned…I was completely along for the ride when Roslin went to Galactica In Between. And I really like the fact that she almost completely missed the message…thinking that if she saved Baltar, she’d earn the keys to the kingdom so to speak. Instead…she needed to realize that by isolating herself she was doing damage to mankind…by not letting anyone in…she was losing her own humanity. And by holding on to anger, pain, and hate and allowing it to guide her actions…she was setting the example for the rest of the fleet.

Remember when she told Adama the surviving members of the human race weren’t happy unless they were kicking each other’s teeth in? *nods * Right…similar to Cain in Razor…Roslin lost her way by trying to control something that can’t be controlled. The biggest difference here is that Cain wasn’t interested in saving the remnants of humanity…and that’s always been Roslin’s goal. Even when she’s still so pissed off at them she could chew nails. Cain was bent on revenge and that was a big part of her downfall. IMO.

Roslin, like Zarek pointed out, isn’t a tyrant. She’s just so far removed and holding herself back…in part because she’s been so completely let down by ‘the people’…that she’s lost touch with everything but finding the way to earth and her illness. Not saying that’s not understandable…but it’s good to see she might be on her way to changing that dynamic.

And Helo…well…I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve always liked him…even when he’s made choices that were questionable. It was very cool to see him dive into the murky depths…I find him more interesting when he does.

Baltar was his usual droll self…but his confession to Roslin was beyond cool. The perfect mix of old and new Gaius, I think. I really found his exposition about guilt fascinating. And the many different conclusions we can draw are varied. My favorite at the moment ties into why we aren’t seeing HeadSix much any more as Baltar seems to move closer to accepting whatever destiny has in store for him. At the same time, he’s still quintessentially him and I love that.

Cavil…something tells me we haven’t seen the last of him…maybe that particular model is gone, but my gut tells me there are more out there.

Boomer…same goes. She’s gonna turn up at some crucial point and turn out to be a wild card.

I also think the Centurions are going to develop further…I really do think it would be a direction this show would take…Baltar inadvertently setting the wheels in motion to potentially destroy two races this time around.

And finally…Adama and Roslin…finally admitting they need love in their lives is a big thing. They’ve done the stoic leaders bit…it’s time for them to have a slice of life for themselves. For however much time they’ve got left. Gives me hope, you know?

And I think that’s it. No Shiny for a second week is almost too good to be true. But he’ll make his presence known again in the next ep. Revelations is up next…and then the next lame, long helliatus. Grab an extra case or two on the way out…we’re gonna need it to survive. * LOL *

Catch everyone on the flip!
