An apology, a link, and a rule update!

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ!

It has come to my attention that a few members are a little confused about linking to their votes. (I'm referring to the three votes you are required to link to when you submit an application)

So, I'm here to apologize, because no where in the rules did I ever really say anything about those links, and it has led to some members being unsure about that part of the app.

I'm also here to clarify this requirement.

1. The links to those votes should be as recent as possible. That is to say, I don't want to find out that you've been "recycling" your links and using them over and over.

2. The links to your votes DO NOT have to be for the same theme that your application is for. For example, someone who is applying for a "Species theme" stamp can link to their votes on other species stamp apps, on main stamp apps, or any of the other theme stamp apps.

3. Some people don't seem to notice apps that have been out for a while, so a few members end up waiting for a longer period than usual for their stamps. Sometimes this can't be helped, but it can be frustrating at times when there's a slew of new apps and the applicants say they can't find any unstamped apps to vote for. So, I'd like to ask you to try and vote for the older apps before the newer ones whenever possible, that way you can free up more people to post apps of their own.

4. If you have trouble finding apps to vote for, click on the !needsvotes tag and make sure you haven't missed anyone.

I'll be updating the rules with a section on linking to votes. Up til recently, I've been pretty lenient, but I'll be checking more thoroughly from now on. I don't blame you guys, I think it's my fault for not communicating this properly. ^^;

And lastly, the only reason I'm putting so much emphasis on this is because votes are what drives these communities. You can't get stamped without 'em! <3

<3 I appreciate everyone continuing to comply with the rules, you all are making this a great experience! :D

EDIT Also, on being stamped. I've decided that if your app has been up for a 7 days or more I will stamp you as soon as I've gotten at least a 4 count majority vote for a stamping option, regardless of how many people have voted. Other apps will continue to wait until there have been at least 6 votes total (not necessarily 6 majority votes), regardless of whether or not they already have a 4 count for majority. This is in order to try and keep apps from sitting forever. If and when we get more active voters/more regularity in voting this policy may change.
