We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Quiet, Peaceful, we spent it manly at home. The weather was wonderful 80f during the day 60f at night.
We worked in the Garden. Our tomato plants are doing great. I think they have tripled in size in the month since I planted them.
We planted more tomato's ( The ones we had started from seed were big enough to move). We also planted banana peppers and Sweet peppers.
Sarah ( my daughter for those who don't know, she's 24) has started her first big piece of bead work. Its about 6 inches around. She says its going to be a head piece. Better her head than mine. She drew the sketch and then started the beadwork.
I spent Sat running around with Hubby. We went to Lunch (yummy). The to Micheals when I got some pink dyed Jade beads and some really nice Pink pearls. I needed something pink for the drops on a barett I have been working on . We finally ended up at a huge tool and supply store which was boring but I was able to score two Big pieces of shammy that I can use as beading leather.
I started working on a fan for Sophie on Saturday and was able to finsh Sunday night.
I'm sorry I didn't get pictures of the whole process I will next time I make a new one. I actually have a bunch of fans started that I need to finsh. The fan is made with turkey feathers and the handle is wrapped the handle with some really neat teal leather Sarah picked out at the last Powwow. I asked what Sophie wanted beaded on her fan and she said a purple flower. Here is a picture of the fan and a close up of my little piece of bead work.
Patrick spent the weekend cleaning up the yard with Gabe's help.
On sunday we hid 42 plastic eggs in the yard filled with Candy and money and Gabe had fun hunting them.
All in alkl it was a wonderful weekend.
