I got the job! I was pretty much convinced otherwise, but am excited to see how it goes. So, I'll be working for them on Wednesdays and Fridays, and keeping my teaching job for the rest of the week. Welcome to the full-time world! At the least, it'll give me some extra cash through the rest of the school year, and otherwise, it may be my next career! I am interested to see what happens.
The job is for a company called Auralog, which makes a well-known language software called TeLL me More. Their website is www.auralog.com . If you want to try a free lesson to see what I'm working on, or eventually to work on your Spanish/French, check out www.euronews.net and click on TeLL me More.
I started work last Wednesday, and I still don't really know what I will be doing as an editorial assistant. It looks like I will be starting by making vocabulary lists, with context sentences. I might also be doing some recording - my voice test is next week. The people seem really cool. Young, but with a high turnover rate (about three years). Very multi-national and multi-lingual. There are free language lessons during lunch - Spanish Wednesday and German Friday. Why not?
