There is something about staying home sick and watching the Price is Right all morning that makes me want to go to bed, wake up and be better.
I was not impressed with my professor who laughed at me in disbelief with her New England chuckle when I told her that I was too sick to come to class.
I seriously want to go on the Price is Right. I would be so hyperactive and energetic. I would be perfect. I would wear a shirt with a snappy comment related to Bob Barker, or something of the sort. I would be starry-eyed and screaming incoherently as I run down the aisle. I would pretend to be excited about a trip to Madrid. I could do it.
That is my new life goal: to get on the Price is Right. And fret not: they let Canadians on! There was an article in this month's "The Walrus" describing this Manitobian journalist's time in contestant's row!
That said, there isn't really much that they give away that I like. I don't need an ugly car (they are always ugly and American, which, of course, are synonyms). I don't need new carpet or browny wall cabinets.
But I could use some new cleaning products! And they are giving away mini-trampolines now I see! I love those things! And one thousand dollars is up for grabs on the showcase showdown! This could help fund my road trip down there.
So, really, I figure if the other Honours kids are serious about this whole driving down to UCLA to re-meet with professors of interest thing, then we should stop in at the CBC studio to catch a taping.
Hmm...
