a milestone, i think. or perhaps a benchmark?
Hello there!
So I went to town hall yesterday to speak with the town's GIS coordinator.
For those who don't know, GIS is a digital mapping/map analysis thing that I'm kinda half majoring in at school.
I wanted to get my foot in the door with the town hall, so I am going ot be volunteering down there doing some GIS work.
I'm pretty psyched.
I'll be updating the town's conservation land file.
Which, until now, is some kid's eagle scout project from 1992.
After I'm done, we'll have digital maps of the town's many conservation lands, info about the available ammenities i.e. parking/canoe dock, and i get to go out in the field with a GPS so we can map all the hiking trails!! yes!!
I'm really excited.
next summer = intership with town planner/manager? we shall see!
And today, my mother said she's not talking to me anymore.
I thought I was the teenager here.
and oh by the way
I'll be pretty much unavailable after sunday july 9th at 7pm.
I'm going nocturnal for a week.
Overnight shifts at work for the remodel.
Don't bother me. lol.
