The Incredible Sweater Machine is incredibly difficult to use!

Well it's been awhile since I've updated! I better write something or they'll close my account!

Something interesting did happen. I got an Incredible Sweater Machine from Cash Converters. It was only $30 and actually I think that's about what it's worth. We got it out at Preston when we were out looking for a new rental house. I've been fiddling with it the last couple of evenings and I haven't QUITE got the hang of it yet. I keep dropping stitches and the lady in the instructional video is zipping along doing her 30 inches of knitting in 12 seconds... Gah! But maybe I'll get it. I haven't read that much about it on the net that hasn't been written by the manufacturers, and they're all "In just a few evenings you'll be pumping out sweaters! afghans! cushions! hats! scarves! baby clothes!" Well we'll see.

The machine seems to mainly be good at making rectangles, and you can apparently do instarsia with it which would be cool because I have some ideas for intarsia pillows with faces on them. Kinda like these:

But not quite like those because they scare me a bit with their stare-y eyes. Maybe I'll do bird shapes in profile or that sort of thing.
