Can't really watch! I have the MSNBC feed up and I watch when Obama's on and turn the sound off and click away when McCain is on, which means I'm going to miss all the LULZ doesn't it. I am watching the chat in
obama_2008 instead.
At least I have avoided freaking out and shoving handfuls of potato chips in my face so far.

I didn't dare play a drinking game with these debates. I'd be worthless for work in the morning.
I just realize that McCain reminds me of Richard Nixon more than anyone else. I'm kind of gagging over that realization.

My liver is terrified of our healthcare system and my health insurance in general. It is crap. And our jerk of a fundie insurance salesman was in our office last week whining to our office manager about how Obama might win and then we'd be stuck with nationalized healthcare. It was all I could do to keep from getting up and walking across the hall and punching him!
And yeah, I'm going to have Nixon/McCain nightmares now from that realization, but they really do sound alike to me. Ugh! It was the "my friends" thing. It reminds me of "my fellow Americans."

LOL I love watching the really screwed up parts of the healthcare industry freak out because they've basically been caught stealing the goodies and are shamefully trying to pretend they haven't. I actualy loved the question about health care being a commodity, because I think it's reprehensible that people (insurance salesmen, some doctors, big Pharma, etc.) profit off the health misery of their neighbors. If I were queen of the universe selling health insurance would be a felony.
Yep, the rhetoric is efinitely part of it too. I should call my dad tomorrow and see if he notices the resemblance. He hated Nixon -- used to make up new mean lyrics to Hail to the Chief about him. *eg*

I came to the conclusion that health insurance is evil and immoral and should be illegal when I was in college, paying medical claims for a living. There's just so much wrongness to it!
