I have been kind of ill for the past week with some sort of stomach weirdness. Basically, any time I eat I get violently ill soon after. I suppose it could be IBS but I’m not really stressed, which was the source of previous IBS. This happened to coincide with my taking some time off from my diet, but it doesn’t really matter, because no matter what I eat, whether it’s fattening or healthy (with the exception of crackers and cereal), I get sick. I didn’t work out last week because I wasn’t really able to eat much. I don’t seem to be much better today, but I am going to try to work out.
No movies again this weekend. I have 4 sitting at home waiting to be watched, and they’re not bad movies so I don’t know what’s making me not want to watch them. I think they are all comedies. Probably not feeling well was part of it.
I only watched bits and pieces of
HGTV Design Star. I don’t think I missed much. It was kind of a cool old house. I loved the super high ceilings. I guess black is the new “in” wall color. I don’t like dark rooms and I think it makes them even spookier at night so I certainly wouldn’t want black walls in that particular house. The green/brown/men’s club room was really meh. And I don’t get why Elvis-Dude did that to the bow. It fit in the room they designed better as-is. Or rather, as-was. Weepy bitch needs to leave. Now. I liked the color of their room a lot more than the judges apparently did, but the judges were right that it was a jumbled together mess made by people who obviously disagreed. Plus she’s weepy bitch. And no one will be willing to work with her on a team project now. But I didn’t like Elvis-Dude either, primarily because of his Elvisness, so I have no objection to his being gone.
I did watch all of
Next Food Network Star. Lisa was less annoying! I agree with the judges that she was much better covered in sauce and more genuine and less polished. Bye bye Nipa. You had no business being there in the first place. You can’t cook! Kelsey also didn’t annoy as much. I’m glad she won. I love fish, so that episode made me really hungry, even though I was sick from having eaten dinner. *sigh*
I also watched the Olympic trials for gymnastics both Saturday and Sunday. I better warn y’all, just in case -- I am a total Olympics junkie, so I will pretty much be glued to NBC and its affiliates for the rest of the summer. I will try not to bore you with constant Olympics posting. But just in case I do, and in case I seem to more-or-less disappear, that’s where I am. Apparently there will be constant streaming video online of most sports. I now wish I was taking vacation in August to sit at home and watch it. I am *that* much of an Olympics junkie. Remember that year in the 1990s (96, I think) When there were three extra cable channels you could subscribe to during the Olympics that showed the qualifying rounds for dressage and rhythmic gymnastics? Oh yes I did subscribe, and when I wasn’t sitting in front of the TV watching, I was taping. 24/7. I still have the tapes. So. You are warned!
