AI Withdrawal, House, LJ Suspensions
So, I spent a lot of tonight in withdrawal, no phones in hand. : (

House, Season Finale
And now there will be withdrawal from that, as well. But, still one episode to talk about.
I liked the season finale, I think. There was an awful lot in it and it may take a few days to fully digest.
I was spoiled a few minutes before the show so (text whited out for spoilers, including possibly for next season) I knew that there were going to be some cast changes and it sounded like just exactly who is coming back is still very much up in the air. The article I read claimed that Foreman would be around from time to time. I suspect that Chase and Cameron will, as well. Or one or the other of them will. It would not surprise me if Cuddy hired one or more of them back in a different capacity and they made occasional appearances. But as much as I think Chase is an adorable cutie, I wouldn't mind having some new Cottages on the show.
I happen to like change. I hate moving, but I like change. So I think Wilson's wrong about House not liking change. Or at least, partly wrong. And I think House was absolutely right about both Chase and Foreman. Cameron? Eh, I don't know. I don't much like her, so I don't really care.
As for the patient's storyline, I'm glad they didn't cop out and there was an actual medical reason for what happened.
I may think of more later, but that's it for tonight.
Edited because I thought of something else: It's been a while since Spanish class and yes, most of the accents I've heard were Mexican or Central American, but I do still watch Spanish language TV from time to time, and I'm sorry but those accents were just not quite right to my ears. I'm also reading the posts about this epidose on television without pity and everyone seems to be squeeing over the Cuban husband and ... he didn't do anything for me. But to each his own, yeah?
LJ Suspending Users/Communities Thanks to Some Rather Stunningly Idiotic Self-Appointed Watch Dogs
Links are posted everywhere all over LJ and JF and I'm not going to repost them unless asked (though please do ask if you need them). WfI sounds quite shady to me and their actions have likely had the opposite effect of what they wished. But then there will always been a few stupid and impetuous persons among the Causists, just as there are in any group. At least we all know to check our user info and make sure there's nothing "illegal" listed as an interest.
Speaking as someone who's survived a bit of abuse, I have to question the LJ folks even more than the WfI folks. A support group might quite legitimately have the forbidden "I" word listed in its interests. Good job driving support for the victims underground, LJ! I haven't heard of any such groups being targeted yet, but I imagine that anyone who runs one will remove those interests now and make it harder for victims in need of support to find the groups.
The only entries I've ever locked are some that relate to real life, and that's the way it's going to remain. I can understand people locking down journals and entries with fic that might attract attention from these witch hunters, though. But the status quo remains here. I do have a journal under this same name over at JF, in case anything happens to this journal. I also have one at greatestjournal, but I have issues with the fact that I cannot read old entries (as in, beyond a page or two -- what the heck is up with that!?!?) on my friends page on greatestjournal, so I refuse to use it as anything more than an icon repository.
