1. What do you think Neville's role will be in the final book?
Pwning Bellatrix Lestrange.
2. Do you think Voldemort will actually be destroyed, or will he end up in Azkaban?
I reckon that depends on what you mean by destroyed. I don’t believe he will continue to exist as we know him on this earthly plane. I do not think he will end up in Azkaban. If Lucius Malfoy can break out of there, Voldemort certainly can as well.
3. Do you think the Dursleys will have much of a role?
I think their role will be mainly comic. I’ve seen suggestions that possibly the house on Privet Drive will be attacked and the Dursleys will have to take refuge with Harry somewhere (most likely Grimauld Place) and since that flips the table on them and also mirrors Harry being dropped off at their home as a refuge in book 1, I think that would be kind of fun. I’m not sure she’ll actually do that, though. I have no doubt that they will at least make an appearance. They have been in all 6 books so far and it would be weird to leave them out.
4. Who is one (major or minor) character you would love to see return in the final book?
While I don’t want Harry to die until the epilogue, I wouldn’t mind a brief meeting with his parents. I really need James to explain how he changed from monumental creepy, jerk of an arsehole who I can’t stand into a genuinely nice good guy worthy of Harry and Lily.
5. Would you like the epilogue to extend until the ends of the characters' lives LOTR-style, or would you just like to know up to, say, the next decade?
Since Jo keeps saying she wants to kill Harry off, I think she will at the end of the epilogue, and that he’ll die of very old age and I’m perfectly happy with that. In fact, since it will make certain scenarios completely impossible (especially H/Hr), if (or more likely when) it happens, I’ll be doing a happy dance and tossing confetti for it. There may even be champagne.
