That wasn’t too awful. It was a nice short show and focused more on who made it to Hollywood than on the timewasters. That big bird lady, though, she was a mess! That was just a pathetic display from a 50 year old woman, even one desperate to get on TV for a couple of minutes.
I actually liked it better with Paula not there. I don’t dislike Paula, but things just went so much more smoothly.

Ella Enchanted
Fun! Cute! Nifty sets, costumes and effects! I really enjoyed this movie and thought it was a pretty good updating of the Cinderella story. Anne Hathaway was adorable in it, I really liked the elf who wanted to be a lawyer and the step sisters were perfectly wonderfully awful. I love the way they poked fun at fangirls. *g* The only things I didn’t care for were the closing musical number. That was a little too hokey even for me. And then the Prince had one of those almost-mustaches. He wasn’t my type, anyway, but I usually can let that slide because I know everyone’s “prince” is something individual to them, and no princess movie’s prince is going to please everyone. But the ‘stache - that was sad. And those were very minor negatives.
I remember when this movie was released there was some unhappy discussion of it over on Journalfen. I think it was in fandom_lounge rather than F_W, but I’m not positive. And also it had something to do with the movies not being like the books in some way.
*shrug* I liked it, a lot. I may even buy it.

Since everyone else has something to say about the pics of Dan Rad, I'll throw in my two cents:
He is very easy on the eyes. He's also an adult. Who is playing more or less of an adult in the movies from here on out. I don't understand why the pictures would be the slightest bit controversial. More than that, I don't understand why anyone in fandom cares or thinks it's any of their business who thinks he's hot, and what age the people who think he's hot are. He's not your kid. Get over it. [/bitchy wanking] Actually, I'm not even cranky about it. I've avoided reading comments for the most part, because the vast majority of comments are just squee which is fine but not exactly heavy reading material or ridiculous, annoying, frothing stuff that will make me angry. So I'll just go back to enjoying the pictures, yeah?
