Keane at Metropolis
I realized that I never updated my journal mentionning that I saw Keane in concert. They performed at The Metropolis on October 20, and I think it may have been one of the best concerts I've ever attended. it was their last North American Tour date, at least on that leg of the tour, promoting their "Perfect Symmetry" album. If you don't own it, I suggest you get your hands on it.
It was also my first time at the Metropolis, so it made for a interesting experience. It's a small venue, but you feel like you could reach out and touch the performers. The band was literally 10 feet away. The crowd was extremely enthusiastic, which made me very happy as most of my friends have no idea who Keane are.
The band really put a lot of effort and energy into the performance. They engaged the crowd, sang a mix of their hits, fan faves, album tracks and also previewed some new material. I look forward to the next album and their next show.
