Disapointing concerts... The Police
I saw The Police in concert on November 12, at the Bell Centre. I heard that Sting wasn't feeling so well and almost cancelled the show; I just about wish he had.
The concert was disappointing. There wasn't much energy built up, and not much interaction with the audience. Sting said a few words at the beginning and had the audience sing along a few times, but that was it. I know they are older, but I don't require crazy stunts or effects to be entertained either. Some of my favorite concerts have been ones where the band has interacted with the audience throughout the evening, letting us know they were glad we showed up... With The Police, they went from one song to another, almost no breaks in between. Just sing and play and get the night over with already. It's too bad, because the reviews from the earlier shows in Montreal weren't bad at all.
Oh well, hopefully the next show I go to will be better.
