read down, and all will make sense:
hullo mummy :)
yip, i'm just fine. work's going pretty well, actually. the bosses (james'n'louise) have calmed down a fair bit now since james had his hernia operation. i hardly ever have to wash dishes anymore, and i know how to waitress all proper-like and am very good at it. can run the whole floor alone if there aren't too many tables in. i'm still doing fifty hour weeks (hence the radio silence) but i'm getting used to the work so it doesn't tire me out as much as it did at first. have about £700. reckon i can hack this until april-ish, and come away with a fair bit of dosh. also, i'm seeing hoz on saturday and am all excited about that - familiar face, yay :)
and yes, i saw bec and timea (you prolly get confused about her name because she's the one that used to be called christina but is now timea. also because she doesn't say anything.) they're happy - living in a converted pub in elephant and castle with no carpets and a disused bar in the middle of the loungeroom. there's even still a sign on their door saying 'pool and darts played here' in big gold letters. they have about AUS$500 between them, haven't really applied for any jobs yet, and are mainly living on vodka, and cheese salads from tescos. i stayed the night on their floor and came away feeling very mature and responsible (and hungover, a little bit.) went to soho, to my favourite gay bar, and got hugged by midget lesbians.
ummm, nothing else to tell, really. except that last night louise (who i love dearly) finished my shift off for me and gave me wine to say thanks for my support last week (busybusy week - clocked 53 hours) and said to me: 'i don't want to sound like your mum or anything, but you've really blossomed these last couple of weeks' and i thought 'mum, blossom, heheheh.' blossy blossomed, yay!
it's just occured to me that this email makes some sense and explains my internet absence quite nicely....so i'm going to post it to my lj to save me writing a proper update :D i'll put up some photos too, so take a look.
this is my room on the second storey of the pub where i work:
my dinky little bathroom
my pwitty bed
this is my hair when it was longer (and unbrushed)
this is after one of the waitresses (an ex-hairdresser) cut it for me. she did the cut for free, to say thankyou for finding her a job as a dental nurse/receptionist with
eloisasnape.
hope that was fun.
