POTC
This evening I saw the new POTC.
.... I didn't like it.
At all. I mean, there were *bits* that I liked, but overall, sooooooooooooo disappointed. Where was all the witty, adorable, quirky dialogue??!! Jack didn't even get to *speak* that much, and when he *did* it was almost like he was a parody of his former, wonderful self. (I think someone has kidnapped Jack and replaced him with a doppelganger. Called Fred.) And Will & Elizabeth were just, kind of, boring. And sea monster people were just icky.
Bits I did like:
- Barbossa appearing at the end - WITH APPLE!!! *g*
- "... Jack Sparrow."
"Captain!"
- the undead monkey. I want one.
- Tom Hollander - wasn't one of his best roles, but still loved the fact that he was in it :-).
- "So how many is that?"
"Including those four? Four."
- "Unique in this case having the meaning 'broken'."
- the scene where Will was slapped in the face à la Jack in the first movie.
- Pintel & Ragetti.
- the jar of dirt.
- NORRINGTON. Ok, so I loved him before, but in *this* one... *droooools*. And I loved his dialogue and all the bits of the story that related to him :-). And, basically, yes, yum *g*.
- "...Commodore?"
"No, not anymore, were you not listening?"
