oh gosh. NANA. dude. i want to write for that thing but i think i need to do a proper canon review before i touch it. i've never seen the anime though. i stuck mostly to the manga and i'm not as caught up as the rest of you -- though i know what's happened so far. where did you read? link me?
LOL. the hanakimi you're watching must be the first incarnation. i haven't picked it up yet, though i did preview the first ep. i'll watch it when i'm done with the 2011 remake :) i have... issues... with three things on that first run but don't mind me

Heeheehee, Noey, you are fantastic! I eventually end up trying most of the things you flail about. ^_^ I have started watching Tiger and Bunny! But I need to find a better source, the streaming pauses every two seconds and it drives me batty. I tried watching the first season-ish of Prince of Tennis, but couldn't really get into it. It had epic battles! ...about tennis. I just *throws hands up* I'll be over here watching Bleach, where they fight with SWORDS instead of RACKETS, LIKE REAL MEN. >;P

You've got to watch Ouran! They had my favorite episode, the beach one! I was hoping for the refreshing battle at Karuizawa (sp?) but, alas. I'm hoping they include Kasanoda in the movie! They did a really good job at bringing it into live action. Watching the animes and dramas makes me wonder why the US (or anyone, really) can't do that for comics? Taking 70 years of Marvel and being true to the stories wouldn't work, and besides we have the new 'canon' of the movies. But the more stand-alone series would work great as anime! Young Avengers! Runaways! Nextwave! It could be done! Why isn't it?
Ahaha! YAY, FIC FOR ME! Very lately (after cutting off my video service, and removing much distraction from my life) I have been wanting to write again too! I went to my writing LJ today and realized it's been two whole years since I wrote anything. Not even just fic to share, I haven't written anything for myself or friends either. I'm glad I'm feeling the bunnies start to stir once more. And I'm glad that even if I haven't written in two years, my last story is the one I like best and am most proud of.
It's tough choosing fandoms for these memes, isn't it? Because some you think you could maybe do a certain character or pairing, but what if someone picks the pairing you HATE or don't know? D: So much pressure!
The Nana anime was great too! And it had awesome music! ♥ I borrowed all the books from my library (OMG, I ♥ my library SO HARD) but the last two chapters weren't in books, so I found them here: http://www.anymanga.com/nana/ How far have you gotten? I kind of spoiled it a bit for myself by flipping to the back of one of the latest books, idly wondering "ooh, what wacky shenanigans do I have to look forward to?" and it was all "BAM CHARACTER DEATH" and I was all D*: That series kills me, I swear. >_<

Have you read the Hana Yori Dango manga? The library had a couple so I started to read it. But, though the story is very similar to the Korean drama I was watching - I couldn't read it! The art drove me crazy! "But in the live-action, they're all so stylish! Why do they look so ridiculous in the manga?!?" I realized the manga was drawn in the early 90s... horrible early 90s fashions! LOL, I just can't do it! Living through that era was bad enough!
I don't have a plurk. I'm kinda thinking of getting a tumblr, to follow fuckyeahouran. But, I am bad enough at keeping up with LJ and FB! I need consolidation, not spreading myself out!

I'm slightly swamped with (LOL) backlog right now, and I'm thoroughly stuck on Kamen Rider OOO (guen would like this, yes, I do believe so enabling the world now kthnxbai) but I'll definitely make time to catch up on Ouran!liveaction and read up on NANA.
I'm a bit bothered by the soft subs for Ouran so I'm waiting on the hardsubs. :)
