Winding down for the night.

I have one more day of work tomorrow and then I'm off on the 4-day weekend I've arranged to spend with the ZyRiKang Trio of Doom. Two-night (three for Rika tauburn; apparently she plans to live with me for awhile lolololol) sleepover, can has \o

I haven't had a set of friends sleep over in awhile (the last time dates back to when we still lived in Timog) -- and this will actually be the first time I'll have this many people sleeping over for an extended period. The only other person who ever spent the night was Belle belledexxxx and that doesn't count because we went out dancing and just came back to crash.

I'm quietly scheming on possibly dragging the television set back up to my room. But that's if Nate's PS2 is in working condition. I will address this on Friday morning when I do some last minute procrastination fixing.

It's such a relief to have had even a few minutes of rain tonight. I don't think there's a storm coming anytime soon (the people at work would have been talking about it otherwise), but even this quick little break from the unbearable heat was very much welcome.

I have a quiet wish that as soon as I have Rika, Kang and Zyn at my place, that the rain'll pour -- not too much, just enough so that putting together some hot chocolate while we kick back and marathon stuff will be an utter treat. Considering that summer is still as stubborn as ever though, I highly doubt it'll come to that.

A girl can dream though.

Made it home in time earlier tonight before the rain travelling from from Makati to Pasig decided to fall down on my head. I love that it waited for me to step inside before it poured. The way the lightning was flashing every few seconds, I was worried for a bit there that I'd end up caught in the downpour without an umbrella. Rushing across the walkway that arcs over the highway is not something I like to do.

Also, while falling asleep in the FX is something I really don't recommend, I felt so drained from today's workload... it kind of just happened. Woke up to the FX stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic along Kalayaan, nodded off again and woke up to bumper-to-bumper traffic along C-5. Ended up spending over half an hour on the road when it usually just takes 30-45 minutes for me to reach home, Fridays excluded.

I hope it's just because of the construction that's been going on, because if this is something that I will have to deal with everyday for the next few weeks my commute will be unbearably tedious.

Anyway. Crashing for the night. But before I go, a To-Do List:

◦ Finish acquiring Koshonin The Negotiator
   ◦ Work on that post about Why I think TRESE would make an excellent Live Action
   ◦ Finish the backlogged ficcage
   ◦ Send Ayen that mp3 that I promise her earlier today
   ◦ Finish all the stuff necessary for this weekend's marathoning sesh

this is my life, noey likes lists, in my country
