Sunday Best [
listen]
Augustana
When she's sleeping on the sofa,
When she's laying in her Sunday best,
When she's turning over Friday,
I could swear I'm sleeping less and less
And the ocean's getting warmer,
And California's on her mind,
Los Angeles is tired,
But we always seem to feel alright,
And I won't...
No I won't...
No I won't...
Cause she's already out the door,
She's already out of here
She's already gone away
Already gone away;
When I'm coming over Sunday
And I think about you all the time,
I wonder what you're doin',
I wonder why you never cry;
When Boston's always rainin',
And we never ever seemed alive,
I sung about you once now,
I guess I might as well,
But I won't...
No I won't...
No I won't...
Cause I'm already out the door,
I'm already out of here,
I'm already gone away,
Already gone away
Well I'm already out the door,
She's already out of here,
I've already gone away,
Already gone away
The day's almost (but not quite) gone.
Spent today at home, catching up on rest and sleep. I've been falling asleep on my feet, if the last three days have been any indication at all. Napped at work a couple of times (I know, I'm a horrible employee), more because my head was killing me and I figured it might be a good idea for me to just shut my eyes for awhile.
I've been hearing good things about The Incredible Hulk, but I'm sort of strapped for cash for awhile yet so I dunno if I'll be able to watch it in the theatres. Am hoping otherwise though, Marvel movies have lately become Pico-sibling outing excuses, so maybe sometime this week or next weekend if the screenings hold until then. I think I have a couple hundred bucks stored away in case I needed to indulge in something and having fun giggling at the theatre in the company of my brothers is something better than a simple indulgence.
But like I said, I'll just have to wait and see.
Anyway; I made icons!
Sample:
four more icons at
itearpages There are five so far since I'm rusty. Six, if we count the one I'm using right now WALL-E MUST WATCH. Quotes are all taken from the 1982 The Last Unicorn adaptation. Ever since Cyn
vacivity posted up that link to "Two Hearts" I've been all over this story like moss on a tree. ;p Okay, so maybe that analogy wasn't so good; my brain is still dead, I plead a state of incapacitated-ness.
Using quotes is a style that is relatively experimental for me. Am hoping to improve on it, of course, but that will have to come later. For now, feel free to take/use/spread -- just credit me, that's all I ask.
Fiction Writing Workshop class was good yesterday. The first round wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Am hoping to work on improving my piece soon, and my mind is already semi-racing on how to expand it in a way that makes it better than it is now. I'm comfy with this class. They're not scary. It's a very friendly group, but friendly in the we-will-call-it-as-it-is way and not the we-are-holding-back way. Hardly.
But it's not over just yet. Second round is due in a couple of weeks so that means I have to start writing again. *crosses fingers* Here I go.

I'm horrible when it comes to memes and being tagged so I guess I'll take the time now to actually do the stuff that I've put off for awhile.

Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged. Don't forget to leave them a comment (you're it!) to read your blog for instructions. You can't tag a person who has tagged you.
1. Some people sing in the shower. I don't. I sing while washing dishes. Usually it's girl-songs (read: female singers I like), sometimes it's Disney songs, and when my brother Nate
_thenothing_ is around and we're crazy enough, we do duets. Ha.
2. When I get into a book series, I tend to be anal and want all the covers to match. What's more, if there isn't any of the cover that I want left, I won't buy the book at all and instead list it as one of those things-to-one-day get off of Amazon. It hasn't really happened yet, but just in case, you know? :P
3. I have an almost-unhealthy addiction with customizing layouts for friends. I have this unavoidable urge to say "want me to make/customize a layout for you?". Trust me. I've victimized at least ten people on my flist.
4. I'm very particular about my feet. I used to be able to run all day in three-to-four inch heels, but lately, I'm a lot more consciencious about doing that because the balls of my feet tend to suffer and chafe. I can still run in heels, yes, but I make sure to pamper my feet overmuch afterwards. I think it's a leftover thing from when I was still dancing. Contemporary Dance class tends to have us go barefoot, so yes, cash out on Foot Spas.
5. It's an almost far-fetch dream considering my country's present economy, but someday, I'd really like to travel the world and possibly visit all the friends I have abroad. Just you know, show up at their doorstep and say "hi, if you're not busy I shall bother you, if you are though, I'll be in town for about a week, when can we hang out?".
6. Marathoning Ouran Host Club is my #1 pick-me-up. :)
7. I feel headfirst from a stage when I was seven years old and promptly became an urban legend in my school. I didn't even know I started it. Hiei
mad_maeglin was the one who told me all about it in either our sophomore or junior year of highschool. I keeled over laughing SO HARD.
8. I have a tendency to smish my dog, Punch to death. He hates me for it sometimes, and gets back at me by ignoring me when I get home from work. I just smish him all the more though; I figure, he'll get used to it eventually.
9. The most ridiculous role I have ever danced for ballet? A cornstalk in a corn field. I kid you not. This was back when I was still taking classes at Ballet Philippines. It is possible, I tell you. And no, there are no pictures. I burned them all. This experience hasn't affected my love for eating steamed corn though.
10. My favorite superstition is that if you whisper a secret or a wish to a butterfly and then set it free, it'll take it up to the heavens. I honestly believe in it. I tried it once, at a butterfly farm all the way up in Tagaytay and it came true. :)

Tell me something you want me to take a picture of from my life and routine, and I'll take it and post it. It can be something in my house, from work or in-between. The sky's the limit.
