Up and about while everyone's still knocked out.
I'm going to a forum today. In Makati. Yes, for a job (it's usually for that anyway). I'm not sure what to expect as of yet, but hopefully it won't be anything too complicated. I've an interview set for Monday too, with Megaworld for their HR Assistant, but I'll deal with that when Monday comes around.
Anyway, not much on my end for the past two days, unless you count catching up on RP threads, racking my brains for the next chapter of my Trinity Blood fanfic and helping Kam slpwlkngdreamer set up her first serious fan comm -- which took up most of my day yesterday because well, when it comes to my anamchara/best friend, if it can't be perfection, it can look incredible at the very least.
So yeah, I pulled out whatever tricks I knew for COREL PHOTO-PAINT 12, exprimented with the Salvador Larocca Icarus/Jay Guthrie picture that Wikipedia has up for show and this is what I came up with:

So far things are pretty slow for the comm. I'm the impatient one between the two of us, and so I'm feeling antsy because it decidedly void of members other than my name and Kam's. For once, I'd actually appreciate it if "mlina" and "slpwlkngdreamer" were joined in by that of other people who share the interest.
Anyway, we're trying to figure out how to advertise without causing trouble. There's another comm with pretty much the same purpose as Kam's little baby (this would be jayguthrie, which Sian nisa_dranyam pointed out to me a couple of weeks back) and while it seems to be the only place with members who really love that particular Guthrie boy, and getting prospective members from there would be awesome, that, my dears is pirating and we don't want people to get miffed. Kam did however, post up a link on Wikipedia under Icarus_(comics). Dunno if that's okay too, but it was a viable enough option and we thought "why not?"; whether it'll work or not is something that we're not sure of yet, because frankly, with Marvel killing off Jay, the webpage is bound to just sit there, discontinued. ><
In any case, Kam might do a little door-to-door advertising, I dunno. I would too, as co-moderator, but like I said, I've got somewhere to be in a little bit so that's going to have to wait. We talked about it last night on the phone though, and mutually agreed that the idea was sound. If she really plans to push through with it, that would be awesome, but I'll just have to wait and see. I hope she does :(, she was pretty sad yesterday to hear that it was confirmed (Jay being killed off ><), and this comm and whatever plans she (and I, in consequence) has planned for it means something to her. I just don't want to see it fall flat on it's face. ><

Also from that front, the first of a three-part fic-piece revolving around original character Ellie Ridley (Kam Martinez's slpwlkngdreamer little contribution to out Marvel AU) will be up soon.
Of Sound and Silence is a collaboration between her and myself, and is the first of a number of "side pieces" running alongside the established timeline which is my brother's _thenothing_ lovely brainchild. I know Sian nisa_dranyam may be looking forward to this, and we appreciate the love v. much. I'm already planning something for the two eldest Guthrie brothers (because one belongs to Kam and the other just holds a special place in my heart), and a little something for Jono/Chamber and Tommy/Alchemy is somewhere there at the back of my head. :)
