Today Jen got some paint that turns into a whiteboard. We now have whiteboards in the living room, on the back of the office door, and in the kitchen beside the fridge, and they'll be usable in 2 days after they cure. It's exciting.
The only downside is that I get confused and it looks like the freezer door is open. That will take getting used to.
We had lunch at Mongolian Grill, and it was very busy. They were not expecting the crowd for Father's Day. People make reservations for Mother's Day weeks in advance, and making reservations for Father's Day seems odd for some reason. Apparently it seemed odd to all the other people there. Anyway, our server forgot about us for a bit and felt really bad about it, so she reduced our bill and gave us a free dessert. This was our first time with Alena at Mongolian, and she behaved really well and ate a lot of her pizza (about half of the slices and all of the cheese of course).
After we got home, we went in the backyard to cool off in the pool, get some sun and play with the dogs. And then Jen started the fire pit and we had smores.
So after a totally awesome day, I had to ruin it by calling my dad to wish him a happy father's day, and hear him call me disorganized and messy and talk about the messy and smelly house that he hasn't seen since we had our housewarming party last year (and that was less than a month after we moved in).
Anyway, yes the house is a mess and it might smell funny and I am disorganized, but that's what you want to talk about?
Next year I'll just send an e-card.
