Things I'll never understand...
Just finished Kate Christensen's Trouble, which iss amazing. Christensen improves with every book, going deeper and getting more incisive with writing and with her characters. More than most authors she has no fears with having her main characters being less than totally charming every moment.
Why this book got so many mixed reviews is a mystery to me, maybe because men truly are sidelined for the entire book? That this a woman's story and men are part of that story, but not the main story.
