Quelling Procrastination

Jan 22, 2011 21:06

I know I haven't conquered it, but I'm on my way to resolving in my favor several skirmishes that've lingered far too long. That's enough to make me feel pleased.

Sitting around listening to music this evening (after running around earlier - and taking time to sit and read in the sunlight for a spell as well). Conducting compilation research. Crossing things off lists. Taking care of business. It feels so gooood to get stuff 'n' things DONE...or at least move 'em along...

I exist on my own wavelengths. They don't always overlap w/others', but oh how nice 'tis when they the sine waves create neato patterns and the Venn Diagrams intersect. I've been chatting w/several of the most important people in my life recently. My heart swells w/happiness and joy at the thought and w/nice feeling(s).

It feels good to spend an evening at home, sitting around in my PJs, listening to music, working on Toad Rip compilations, attending to laundry as it buzzes, taking care of this and that and t'other, putting away the final bits from my last trip (we3 SoCal jaunt), looking forward to/at and planning for upcoming adventures, such as (a) next weekend's extended North & South date weekend w/lightfoote, including time w/wildwoosi; (b) another trip Northward to visit folks and work on CopperMoon/garden stuff; (c) we3 anniversary as a fambily (coinciding w/V-Day weekend) featuring a we3 Beach Weekend & Toad Rip (mine w/wings ;-), along w/extra CopperMoon & thereabouts time; (d) misc other desirable social get-togethers local and further afield...and more.

Phew! Sure am glad I've started scaling back on social stuff... (Not sure if'n I'm serious or kidding or crazy or what ;-)

Whew! Yeah, THAT's why I'm happy to be home now. Duck-juggling HO! Hmm, mebbe I'm not being as lazy as I'd thought.

Oh, and I'm LOVING the music I've got going. Hee! Happy to share it if'n folks want some insights into the MLE mind/being. :-)

There's a bubbly bath w/a book (The Big Sky - prequel to The Way West) in my near future...
