Grr...
Wrote a whole nice long entry yesterday, then the computer hiccuped and I lost it...stupid thing...well, I can do a good chunk of that now I guess LOL!
Finished the newest Harry Potter book last night...and bawled like a baby! I won't spoil the outcome for those of ya'll that will read it. The story was written wonderfully and I couldn't put it down. Some of the outcomes I was VERY unhappy with, though somewhat expected...
My body clock is so FUBAR'ed up right now. It's still getting back on track after last week. I knocked out 29.5 hours of my internship. Between that and working almost my full 40 hours at work was tiring...but I feel good that I completed what I said I would. And, that's that much less I have to worry about when the semester starts. And where I did my internship, assisting at the national RID conference, was a wonderful experience. I got to meet some new people and network, saw some good interpreting models, did my first 'real' interpreting gig, and got to work on both my expressive and receptive work. For a little while, I was feeling a little bit down about my skills and such, but after being in that interpreting and signing enviroment, I'm convinced that I don't want to do anything else, and that I want to progress and get different certification levels and increase my knowledge and skill as much as I can.
I sent in my BEI test money. It's been cashed, now I'm just waiting on my test date. Put if off long enough, but I really think I could take it and pass...Ask me again how I feel about it in a couple months and see if you get the same answer.
Went out to dinner last night with my friends from work, and we had a good time. We always have a good time when we go to Gringo's. Found out from a previous that I can't hold my liquor, so I don't even try anymore LOL! Our supervisor is moving up to management, and we're in the process of having another one chosen. A decision should be made soon...
