Midterm week(s)

It is the end of week 5, which means I'm halfway through my midterms (with another 5 to go, 3 that run into next week). This also happens to be the week that Brother Ference (our pledge educator) decided "you guys gotta get your interviews DONE. By Friday." I'm currently attempting, but mother fucker is it impossible to get any of the brothers to hold still. All the other pledges either already live in the house, or they live right across the path from it. I live about a 5 minute drive, not long, but goddamnit is it hard to get over there with all this studying. The other pledges seem to be getting ideas on who they want as a big, but I'm still at a crossroad. I'd like Kelly, I've known him since before he pledged, and he's mad chill, but he "technically" can't have a little this quarter, but might be able to (only 5 guys are officially eligible, and there are 8 pledges). Jake (Ference) would be awesome, but as educator, he can't have a little. Kenny, one of the other brothers I've connected with, just took a little. AJ would be cool, but he can get a little grating and smokes way too much (and with a GPA of 1.5, ummmm....). Kyle (the president) would be cool; I could learn a LOT about public relations with him, and maybe takeover his position (my goal). If it doesn't work out with Kelly, my choices get slimmer, and I'd really hate to end up with a big I'm not to thrilled about.

I'm also torn between continuing living here next year, or moving into the house. The house is in the dorms, so I'd again be living with someone, communal showers again, mandatory meal plan, etc. If I keep living here, though, I'm definately gunna be missing out on a lot of the brotherhood.

Damnit, if only I got the Inn, it would've made this choice so much easier...
