Home Stretch
Well it's good to know that I'm in the last stretch of this summer internship stuff.... 3 More weeks left; then, vacation! (And RA Training shortly thereafter!) The job is okay, but my boss seems to think that all I can do is writing, I can't seem to impress upon her the vast array of skills and talents that Tech Comm students possess. So instead of putting me to work on other things iike web, design, marketing etc. she gives out those tasks to the grossly under-qualified office assistant (who by the way is a complete bitch).... Hence why our UDS website sucks balls! I think the office assistant is spying on me, I know she reads e-mail that's mine and then sends me messages telling me when I'm not using the e-mail account properly.... Want to tell her to mind her own damn business... but alas, I need a good review so I can't piss anyone off... lol...
Other than work, nothing exciting has really happened. I've tried to get out on my bike from time to time; like tonight, I went out and took pictures with the new phone I got (which has a sweet 3 mega pixel camera).... I haven't felt like going to the grocery store because it's a huge pain in the ass, so I've been eating a lot of junk food I need to turn off from the grill.
As I said, the store is a pain in the butt because I can only carry a small amount of things with me, it's a long walk, it's expensive, and the food doesn't last long enough. I did the math and it's cheaper to eat out at $15 dollars a day than it is to buy $50 worth of groceries that only last a week (and still having to eat out once a day for lunch breaks at $6 bucks). So yeah...
Did I mention how much i love this new phone? My only gripe so far, the file system is (dis)organized in a scary manner that's very difficult to find files in. Plus, since it has a memory card, you have two locations to search through (on top of having a lengthy directory tree)... other then that, I like it a lot!
