Amazing but True: Stories of a College RA
Ugh I'm sick (again) right now and it's unpleasant to say the least. I rarely got sick living off-campus, but now that I'm back in the dorms I keep getting the same damn bugs over and over again.... argh...
At any rate, it was a wild night last night in here.... we were selling nacho's to the drunks coming in the front door (great money maker) and one of our staff was leaving with a huge backpack. Mo-T asked him to stop and open up the backpack (he's underage) at first he wasn't going to do it and when he did, he pulled out a bottle of orange juice and some cups, anyone want to guess what the other bottle he wouldn't pull out was?! Yeeeah, so she caught up with him outside and God only knows what hell she scared into him! Teehee.... I hope he doesn't think for even just a second that being an RA some how makes him exempt from the rules; if so, he is tragically mistaken and might as well quit while he's ahead. Damn frat boys....
Also, we had a really really disgusting vomit mess in my bathroom that I didn't catch until about 2:30am, luckily Adam cleaned it up for me, props to him for that! It had to be the single most DISGUSTING mess I'd ever seen. Thank God my sinuses are clogged to hell. They hit all four of the toilets like it was target practice... didn't know any human could vomit that much! Yikes!
I've missed a ton of classes over the last few days, I just have no energy to climb the hill, I need to get over this bug... I'm still fairly caught up though, which is a plus. I get to register today, at some point, when I find time to do so...
So yeah, all-in-all that's my action packed week for you. Last weekend I came back from watching a movie with Jon at about 1am and there were 2 large busts going on in the same side of my cube simultaneously... the amount of beverage containers disposed of was mind-boggling.... I sure wish I knew how these guys get all their money for drinking.... I sure don't have enough to drink like that.... Either they got rich mommy and daddy or they've got one hell of a black market gig going.... Share the wealth I say.
Oh did I mention the other event happening last weekend? So yeah, after this huge bust, I changed into my night clothes to go brush my teeth and get some sleep... no sooner did I exit the bathroom did I get stopped by some of my residents who wanted to talk about it, so I humored them and had a picture snapped of me in the hallway with a "I'm going to kill you" grin on my face... It ended up on facebook, so I had the resident who posted it fill out a contract stating if he did not remove the photo, he would be deemed non-compliant and would be forced to meet with the hall director. But wait! That's not the best part of it, just after the picture being taken, some fruit loop I didn't know started bragging about how he gave the cops a fake ID and got away with it. He couldn't have known I was the RA since he was looking right at me as he said it. STUPID! I made a call to the duty RA who was still in the lobby with the police, as the guy headed downstairs I gave them his location and they stopped him, questioned him and arrested him. He was charged with: underage consumption, possession of drugs, obstruction of justice, ID violation, and something else, I think disorderly conduct. Mwahaha! I should be a police officer someday.... 'Just hope the guy never finds out I'm the one who turned him in, lol....
I have 5 conduct follow-ups coming.... not looking forward to it either....
Well, I have lab here in a few, so I best get going.
