It is official and I move to the posh golf lodge in two weeks. Eeeek! The place is beautiful! I went to visit the lodge which is awesome, but totatly isolated (i.e., the nearest store is 30 minutes away and it's basically just a Quick Shop). I got a crazy bad sunburn, ouch, wich is now peeling off me, yuck. I had to drive a golf cart to get out to the beach and got lost on the golf course, got the cart stuck in the sand, and got a huge stick stuck in the bottom of the golf cart. All before I even got onto the road to the beach. When I finally got to the part where you park the golf cart, I had to walk for about a mile through all these crazy sand dunes and grass to get to the actual beach. But when I got there . . . OH. MY. GOD. I have never seen water so blue and the waves were so loud! There was literally no one for miles. I even saw sharks! It was great. I hope I have made the right decision. The chef is really nice and it will definitely be a good learning experience. Plus I will get the chance to learn scuba diving and all sorts of water sports. Also, my job that I am at now has offered me a full time job in March, so if I hate the isolation or the pristine beaches, I have something to fall back on. =0 )
In other news . . .
I made pancakes for breakfast and they were mmm mmm good. I also made enchiladas for dinner last night and they were outstanding (if I do say so myself). New Zealand has a big black hole in the culinary arts where Mexican food should be. Christmas time is coming soon. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! I am hoping for a package full of Velveeta Shells and Cheese and Doritos from my Mom, Dad, and older sister. (Starts to drool in anticipation.) Well, that's about it so I will sign off for now.
