Well, I'm almost done with finals and here is how they've gone so far:
Music History: This final was a breeze...moreso than I thought it would be. I'd be shocked if I got less than a B.
Vocal Tech: Sucked cause I had to be there at 7 and that's when the shuttle busses START running, so I had to walk from the commuter lot in the cold ass weather...which, needless to say, SUCKED ASS. Aside from that the final was more or less set up like a class discussion so it was cake as well.
Vocal Jury: Went really well. The faculty picked the songs of mine which I was more comfortable with so it went by pretty easily.
Piano: Here was the shittiness of the week. The final is set up based on competencies, each one being worth 10 points. If you don't pass one(passing being an 8 out of 10, which ends up being very objective on the professor's part. If you don't get an 8, you get a zero so it's really just pass or fail and only passes have differing grades.) you fail the class...needless to say, I didn't pass one or two of them. The worst part is she began to scold me like I was a small child. THEN tried to tell me I needed to get tested for adult ADD or any other of various learning disorders...THAT BITCH! After failing a final I practiced no less than 3 hours a day for the entire week....I don't want to be belittled like that. Anyway, she's giving me a second chance to pass those 2 competencies on Saturday giving me a few extra days practice, so, cross your fingers.
I still have my conducting final which I'm not at all worried about and now making up the piano final.
This break should be a good one for parts, and boring for the rest. Saturday Latasha and I are going to my hometown for our annual extended family christmas party(first girl I've brought to meet the extended family...EEP!). Then I'll just be working until CHristmas eve eve when I'm having dinner with some of my roommates and a few friends back in Indy. I haven't seen them in a while so I'm looking forward to it. Christmas eve and day spent with the family and then New Year's Eve I'm traveling up to the south bend area to ring in the New Year with Latasha (I'll be meeting her parents which scares me to death). I'll have to leave the next morning around 8 though because Latasha's leaving for the airport to go to Utah at that time. She'll be there til like 2 days before the end of break. It will be interesting to spend this much time apart for the first time ever, which is the one downside to break, but I'll live lol.
Anyway a much longer post than I anticipated so I'll stop there...have a good break everyone and enjoy the holidays.
