Finished a book last night. The new Charlaine Harris. Though she has multiple series going now, doesn't she? The newest Sookie Stackhouse book. Haven't read any of her other series. *looks up title, because they never stick in my head* "From Dead to Worse (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 8)". Content aside, doesn't that title say it all?
Good book. Longer than usual. Better than usual, I'd say. Intriguing little tidbit at the end. Totally unrelated to the bulk of the book, but kinda cool.
Relationship wise, these books are the complete opposite of the Anita Blake books. Anita collects men, Sookie uses them up and throws them away, doesn't she? I'd rather keep them. One more reason I link up better to Anita. Although, Anita has too many now. All the additions since the London vamps came on scene.
Did I mention I'm counting the days till "Blood Noir" comes out? My biggest bright spot on the calendar at the moment.
Note: This post was originally part of
this one, but I wanted to separate the bookish part from the real life melodrama.
