Day 2: Your 2 most played songs.
Day 3: 3 songs that are your soundtrack for today.
Day 4: 4 songs that never fail to make you smile.
Day 5: 5 albums you cannot live without.
Day 6: 6 guilty pleasure songs.
Day 7: 7 amazing cover songs.
That's a hard one, since I don't really track covers on iTunes, although I'm going to start now. In the order I thought of them.
1. 30STM's Unplugged cover of U2's "Where the Streets Have no Name"
OMG. While I'm sitting here trying to think of covers, guess what comes on Pandora?
2. Shiny Toy Gun's cover of David Bowie's "Major Tom"
I was actually trying to think of that song. Eerie.
3. 30STM's cover of The Police's "Message in a Bottle" (Was on "AOL Uncover Sessions")
4. 30STM's cover of Bjork's "Hunter" on ABL
No, I'm not going to include the Lady Gaga cover. Hate her, and I don't particularly like the cover either. The Kayne West cover was okay, but I'm trying not to do all 30STM covers.
5. Skee-Lo's cover of "The Tale of Mr. Morten" on School House Rock! Rocks
6. Andy McKee's instrumental cover of Toto's "Africa" (found on youTube ages ago)
7. Johnny Cash's cover of NIN's "Hurt" ... should have thought of that one sooner
I'm sure I'm missing some obvious ones, but I'm totally blanking on the concept at the moment.
I have two Duran Duran cover albums. One of them covering other people and one of other people covering their songs. Too bad I really don't like either album.
I used to listen to a pod-cast called "Coverville". It was interesting to find out some songs we think of as originals are actually covers of lesser known artist's work. Too bad I purged the podcasts from iTunes.
Day 8: List 8 people and one song to describe each one.
Day 9: 9 artists/bands you’d like to see live.
Day 10: Make your dream band out of your favorite bands.
Day 11: A letter to an artist/band you love.
Day 12: 12 most memorable lyrics.
Day 13: 5 of your favorite album covers & a song from each album.
