The first book you read this year: Excluding re-reads "Lover External" by J.R. Ward
The last book you finished this year: Janet Evanovich "Wicked Appetite"
The first book you will finish in the new year: "Blood Trinity" by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Your favorite "classic" you read this year: I don't think I read any classics.
The book series you read the most volumes of this year: Tie between J.R. Ward and Carrie Vaughn (Kitty books) - 5 each; *recounts* Nope, I read 6 by J.R. Ward
The genre you read the most this year: sf/fantasy/urban fantasy/paranormal romance
The book that disappointed you: In the "I expect more of that author" category, I'd say "Infinity" by Sherrilyn Kenyon - the first of the YA Nick books. In general, I had several I couldn't finish.
The book you liked better than you expected to: Probably Carrie Vaughn's Kitty books. I didn't really connect with the first one.
The hardest book you read this year (topic or writing style): I don't know that I had any with a dense writing style. "The Paradox of Choice" by Barry Schwartz took the most effort to finish, since it was non-fiction and I tended to read it in fits and starts.
Funniest book you read this year: Probably Janet Evanovich's "Sizzling Sixteen". That's the only one that screams humor when I look at my 2010 list.
The saddest book you read this year: Anne Bishop "The House of Gaian", I think. It was the most recent one that was a tearjerker.
The shortest book you read this year: No idea.
The longest book you read this year: Probably Jacqueline Carey "Naamah's Curse".
A book that you discovered this year that you will definitely read again: Probably the Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake books. I tend to re-read that series more than most. I re-read "Incubus Dreams" and will likely read that one again. I imagine I'll re-read the newest ones, as well.
A book that you never want to read again: Quite a few. I'm not a big re-reader. Some good books are read once books. Other good books are fun to revisit.
